  1. Xe/xem/xyr is fine. I'm pretty cool with whatever, and mostly go with they/them just so I can avoid having to go into a long rambly explanation about alternative pronouns, but you peeps seem pretty in the know already which is neat!

  2. Yo! I'm Nifar, as you can see by the user name. I occasionally am known as Data Junkie, or "that bastard". Aside from Pokemon, I enjoy Shadowrun (and other tabletop rpgs. I'll try basically anything once), Transformers, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Steven Universe, and probably a bunch of other shit I'm too lazy to name. Also I swear quite a bit, sorry about that. I'm a bartender by trade, and a programmer as a hobby. I'm currently in the middle of my first Ren'Py project. I used to do custom pokemon trainer sprites for an rp on another forum, and I'd be more than willing to give it a shot again if anyone wanted me to make some, but I imagine we've got plenty of people here who can do that already, huh?

Also, I have evolved past such petty human concepts as gender. I am a fully functioning android who wears whatever they like, and presents however they please, frequently being mistaken for either gender multiple times daily. (If you couldn't tell from my usage there, my pronouns are they/them.)

  3. Yeah, that's basically the definition of "casual". The question was basically "how long will it take me to beat the game if I just use whatever I catch and only do side missions if they're in my way?"

EV Training and breeding and stuff is for the players who are more... I dunno what term to use, but I guess hardcore is closest to what I mean. I have legit never EV trained a pokemon, and the only times I bothered with breeding in the main games was to complete my pokedex, and even then I got bored with that. I'm more into the story of the games, and seeing whatever neat pokemon I can stumble across. I don't really have it in me to be a completionist or anything like that. In MtG terms, I'm a Timmy when it comes to Pokemon (and most games for that matter. I doubt I'll ever have the "perfect" team, or 100% complete anything.)

  4. Yoooo! That post, and the promise of a non-binary Pokemon protag, is what brought me here. I've been lurking around for a little while now, and it's cool to see it mentioned here.
