I've talked to him there before going to the odd house, am I supposed to talk to him there again?
Edit: The odd thing is that I can get him to reappear at the odd house but not the tower

Go back to Narcissca's gym and start the odd key quest. Once all of that is done, next is doing a Help Quest in West Gearen that involves the power plant.
Now, you can go back to Goldenleaf and find Spector standing in front of the Giratina statue. Then, you have to talk to him once in the Odd house and once in the Wispy town (he's only in there at certain times of day; play around with your computer clock and this will take about 5 minutes). Finally, going through the gym, you will meet him again and he will tell you that you can face him.
I have yet to face him, so I don't even know where he is in the end. Presumably, somewhere in the gym.
I'm in the gym but how do I start the odd key quest?

I just got to West Gearen with my 8th badge, and was wondering how to battle Spector so I can get a dawn stone.

Oh, that's unfortunate I have a level 40 kirlia in hopes of being able to get gallade. But thanks for your input

I started a topic on getting a dawn stone a few days ago and someone told me it might be possible to get one through mining. Can someone confirm this?

Hmm that's weird, all I did was to talk to Keta in his room and he says to get the stone and go back to where Melia's bag was then go back and talk to him.

The stone is in cavern, I think it's to the left when you enter it from route 2? It should be red.

alright I'll try to wait till I can mine, I just beat the 1st gym. I just didn't want to wait till like level 80 to evolve kirlia.

Should I just get gardevoir then? I have an attack raising nature and it's male so I was really hoping to get gallade.

I got a male ralts as a starter and I was wondering when I could get a dawn stone, I've read that you can get one very late in the game but I was wondering if I could get one sooner so I don't have to keep a kirlia when my other pokemon would have evolved.

You need to go to Eldest in Purify Forest.
Guess that means I can't use froakie for the first gym
Edit: Aren't the toxic spikes supposed to absorbed if you send out a poison type, sent out my oddish and had no effect.
