What's up I guess?

So I've lurked around here for basically too long and I figured I should try not to be so antisocial to the point where I'm selfishly playing games and reading other peoples opinions when I could be offering my own input. Anyways I've been playing pokemon reborn for a while now, I think when episode 8 was out and you know just checking the discussions on the forums, hints, opinions, whatever's recent. I thought maybe if I joined I could get into some really good discussions particularly about the design of pokemon reborn. Like the ruby/sapphire art style that's being used. The limitations of pokemon essentials along with rpg maker. And of course the difficulty of the game because we all know that's something everyone seems to go back and forth on. I'd like to discuss the challenges pokemon reborn brings to players but I should probably get my introduction out of the way.

I'm a big time gamer, lover of most anime/manga and forum reader even with my part time job and an obligation to set up a neat portfolio for getting a job in game design development. I enjoyed learning the process of developing games in school though there always seems like you don't have enough time to actually finish the project. Besides that it's always fun to dream big during preproduction.

I learned to use a few scripting languages in school. Now, I'm no heavy duty programmer(though I sort of was one semester) but I understand the basic idea of if statements and loops. I bring this up now because I saw a topic somewhere about the development of pokemon reborn. I don't know if there's a need for spriters or programmers but I don't mind trying to learn both. I'd like to join in if its possible of course I understand if its a no noobs type of project since the general goal for release dates was I think but I'm not too sure was one episode a month. Anyways let me know if I could be useful.

Besides that I still like just looking at art for what it is. My favorite style of art ,particularly character art, in this case tends to fluctuate between anime/manga and 3d final fantasy models.

I can't really pick any favorite anime shows over the list I've watched so I'll name some recent ones I liked: Ranma 1/2, Princess Resurrection, Attack on Titan, Rozen Maiden, Fairy Tale, Ramen Fighter Miku(it goes back to Pokémon and DBZ...sighs).

Some of the games I play are Pokémon Black and pretty much all the other main series games except R/B/G/S/C/HG/SS and platinum, Kingdom Hearts 2, Megaman Zero 4, Final Fantasy 12, Legend of Zelda(mainly the 3d games), Blazblue Calamity Trigger, just too many to name; sorry no money for Xbox.

Hello inhabitants of Reborn,

I made this account a few months back when I discovered Pokémon Reborn. I used this forum as a guide to help me through the game but after some RQ problems and months of therapy (Fuck you Corey! Die! Oh wait…), I decided to start over again and introduce myself xD

I’m 21 years old, live in Belgium and I’ve played Pokémon since first gen. I’m kinda a noob when it comes to competitive battling though. I tried out Pokémon Showdown, mainly monotype, and I recently installed Pokémon Online since Feraligatr started bullying me for no reason.

Let’s see what else can I say? My favorite type is Water and my favorite Pokémons are Gyarados, Haxorus, Infernape and most Eeveelutions, except Sylveon, because dragons > fairies! I would post my in-game team but I have no idea how to do that so...

In conclusion, I am a fan.

As way of an introduction, I am just like you dear reader. I am the common man. The fan captivated at a young age by the amazing world of these monsters that fit in one's pocket. The fan who grew up and forgot about the wonder and enjoyment of catching them all. The fan who wandered into the gaming store and picked up his/her childhood memories and decided to once again delve into that world which had garnered him so many fond memories. The fan that sadly swept through the his memories' plot in 24 hours and wondered when it became so simplistic, so shallow, so easy... The fan who heard about this re-imagining of his memories, but this time with promises of complexity, depth, and difficulty. The fan who, like you, sits here reading this introduction and wondering when he's finally going to get to the point.

Well, in conclusion, I am a fan. I am a both a reborn fan and a Reborn fan.

For those interested, I'm simply an engineer who still enjoys his childhood memories of Pokemon, RPG's, Lego, board games, and a good old fashioned adventure story.

Hello everyone! My name is Javier "Zinarei" Ruiz. I'm a cosplayer/prop-maker, and I'm also a huge fan of Pokemon. I live in the East Coast USA, and I'm regularly found at conventions in that area. I'm best known for making armor, but I used to make papercraft models back in my early college days. I doubt any of you have heard of it, but I'm the founder of the now abandoned Final Fantasy Papercraft site.

I've come to this forum mostly because I was attracted by the actual Pokemon Reborn game. I watched Shofu's Let's Play videos on Youtube and thought it was a spectacularly crafted game, especially for being made on one of the RPG Maker engines. I noticed that you guys have some sort of league play going on using Pokemon Online, so I thought I would hit that up too. Is that still actively going on?

Hello Everybody, gonna keep the intro short cause im not the one for long intros.

My name is ChickenwingLN, i've been here for sometime (just not as a user) to solve some of my in-game problems and find out where rare pokemons and items are. But i've decided to stop being a complete coward and register myself to share my probably 0% knowledge (cause i'm a newbie ) of this game to you all.My hobbies are football(soccer) being a pretty good goalie, reading and drawing mangas,watching tv, cracking the worst jokes, gaming ofcourse and being a crap pokemon player. Hey mates,

As you can probably tell from the title I'm a new member of the reborn community. I've been putting this off for a couple of days but I've finally gotten round to writing an intro.

Hmm... What to say about me... I generally answer to Sheep, Thomas or Tom. Sheep's probably easiest though 'cause my username. I'm Australian, I'm in my 3rd year of uni doing a bachelor of science and I've got a keen interest in becoming a palaeontologist. Uh, I'm pretty smart, calm, I don't even have a sense of urgency, I'm more likely to be honest than modest though the two aren't mutually exclusive and I make new friends pretty easily.

As far as interests go I like video games. My favourites would have to be the Mass Effect trilogy, though I like The Elder Scrolls and Fire Emblem too. I love to read fiction novels be they sci-fi or fantasy and my favourite books would be the Song of Ice and Fire books (Game of Thrones). I watch anime (though not as much as I used to) and I probably enjoyed Fate/Zero, Baccano, Clannad and Code Geass the most out of anything I've seen thus far.

In terms of Pokémon bug is my favourite type (uncommon I know) and my favourite Pokémon is heracross. The first games I played were red and blue a long way back and these days I've got a 3DS with X. I'm fairly good at the more competitive side of things if the couple of months I've been doing it are any indication but I don't think I'll be sweeping the league without a bit more (or a lot more) practice.

So yeah, I think that'll just about do it.

Edit: Whoops, forgot to mention I started playing reborn a few months ago in my summer break and loved it. Was glued to the screen for about a week, while I played it practically non stop. So basically I'm pretty excited to see what else the community has to offer.
