  1. Have an idea for a Pokemon game mechanic? Post your ideas here, and discuss with others on their ideas. Simple examples would be like new statuses or new types. Your idea shouldn't be a single sentence, it should be something you feel passionate about, and something you'd love to see in a Pokemon Game. Like if you want to add a new type, you should try to explain your reasoning, and how it would fair against others.

  2. Sorry to be kind of stepping in and giving you a sorry, but one of those mons is unobtainable and the other is a choice you have to make at the start of the game. We have a very lenient policy (too lenient if you ask me), but one of the big things is that we only mod save files at the start of the game. And I wouldn't add ice punch to swampert since it is an illegal move due to not being obtainable through normal means (unless it learns it through breeding or something). Also, that'd simply be a free mon which you put no effort into raising.

I hold no power to stop anyone from modding your save, but I do believe there is a bit of morality when editing save files since this is considered cheating. I know modding only for new save files is one standard we'd originally had though which I still stand to.

I'm not sure but I think this thread is only to giva a starter to new save files when playing a certain run is difficult due to the lack of some concrete pokemon. At level 55 you should be able to have a decent team with any monotype. Still, someone will confirm if I'm right or what you're asking can be done.

Edit: Looks like commander posted the same at the same time. If some mod wants to delete this post, feel free to do so.

I see. Alright then, have a nice day.

  3. Hi, I'm currently doing a ground type mono, and I'd like to get two more mons, and some changes to my mons.

New mons: lv 55 Impish, Jolly or Careful Gliscor with Acrobatics. Swampert; Lv 55 Adamant Swampert with Ice Punch. Abilities and Evs don't matter, but I'd also like them to have decent IVs.

I'd also like if my Gastrodan could have Mud Bomb Replaced with Earth Power.

This Last part is optional, Meaning ya don't need to do it, but I'm thankful if you would: in box 3 I have all of my Ground type Mons. If you can give them all have decent IVs, that would be very helpful. Oh and, Just to also make my day, make some of them shiny, but don't tell me which ones are. Like I said This last Part is optional, so You don't need to do it.

Sorry if this is too much, but I'd like the additions to prepare for what's coming up. Thank you, and have a wonderful day~

  4. Garchomp and Gliscor aren't available yet. You have to get quite far in the game before you can catch Gligar, so you're better off training other mons and when Gliscor and Garchomp finally become available, just rotate them.

For early game Ground-types (you most likely will replace at least some of them later on), sandy cloak Wormadam, Donphan and Onix (eventually Steelix if you use your Metal Coat) might be worth a shot.

I was gonna get garchomp fron the Request a Mon thread for Monoruns.

  5. Okay, I've decided to do a ground type Mono run. Can I get a Rhyhorn, Gible, and Shellos with one of their useful egg moves, decent Ivs, and natures like serious, bashful, docile, etc.? Also if You can edit my Turtwig to be shiny, have seed bomb, and buff it's Hp IV, that'd be fantastic.

Before I go, is there a specific way to install your new file or does it do it automatically? EDIT: My file is on the page before, but if you need it I'll post it.

Game.rxdata I just realized that one isn't the same. So, use this one.
  6. Okay, after enough thought, I'm going with just ground types. I think my team will be rotating Torterra, Camerupt, Diggersby, Gastrodon, Garchomp, Krookodile, Gliscor, Rhydon, Mamoswine, and any other suggestions you guys have.

  7. There are lots of good Ground-types available. Diggersby, especially with Huge Power ability, deals massive damage. Nidoking has a versatile movepool, Krookodile packs a punch with high Atk stat and Moxie. Mamoswine isn't bad, either.

Agree with everything Zargerth listed. Another good option is rhydon/rhyperior. Really good bulk and attack and a solid move pool.

I'll make sure to try all of them, but what second type should I use other than ground?

  8. Okay, so I want to try a mono run on Reborn. I think I want to Try a ground type run with a secondary type that I don't know yet. My ground types will most likely be Torterra, Camerupt, and a third I haven't decided yet. Any suggestions?

Okay, how about adding a level 5 Froakie with protean ability, and a level 5 Skarmory with swords dance and drill peck. The natures can be non improving natures like Serious and Docile, IVs at least decent, female if I need to breed them later, And can you surprise me one of the two being shiny? That would be great. I wanna see how my run will go if I have these pokemon along with my starter. If this isn't possible or fair, then I understand, and it's no skin off of my bones.

  10. The best way to gain exp quickly is to use the rebattleable trainers at the grand hall who give good exp. They're unlocked right before Shade's gym (or after, can't remember.) You can also use them to EV train

At Spinel Town you can get the Exp Share and the Lucky Egg at 7th street, so those are something to look out for.

I completely forgot about those trainers. Thanks!

  11. Okay, so I'm on my second playthrough of Pokemon Reborn, and I need to gain some levels as quickly as I need to. Also, I got a bunch of Pokemon that can be used for breeding. Especially my Mareep. My team is Currently: Sassy Torterra with Shell Armor, Modest Swoobat with Simple, Docile Tynamo, A naughty Growlithe, A shiny Hasty Linoone with Pickup, and the last one I'm not sure about. I have an Axew, Venonat, Glameow, Buizel, Pichu, Vanilite, Onix, whismer, Emolga, Swirlix, Slugma, drowzee, and some others for my PC. I really could use some help with this.

I'm stopping with the requests right now, focus on Gym Leaders

That's why i started all this, after all.

If you want one, you can do a request, but it will only be finished next month.

Sorry guys I'm too lazy today.

    Bye ~

EDIT: Is there any topic saying all important character's team? I would love one

I love it! Thank you so much.

  13. Nidoking is the only pokemon that I'd use as a mixed attacker, because more of its special moves complement its ability than its physical moves

    Decent movesets

    Nidoking

    -Earth Power

    -Sludge Wave/Poison Jab

    -Shadow Claw/Shadow Ball

    -Flamethrower/Rock Tomb

    Arcanine

    -Flare Blitz

    -Outrage

    -Crunch

    -???

    Eelektross

    -Spark

    -Thunder Wave/Coil

    -Thrash/Acrobatics

    -Crunch

    Hydreigon

    -Flamethrower

    -Dragon Pulse

    -Dark Pulse

    -Charge Beam

Okay. I've been working on the team though. I think I have a better team that suits me then the one I just threw together. This new team consists of Scolipede, Serperior, Eelektross, Chandelure, Zoroark, and Mega Swampert. I have all their sets and I'm working on breeding them now so, Thank you all for putting up with me.

  14. In all seriousness, the pokemon you want is probably an unrealistic achievement. Half the fun comes from finding out ways to cover for the weaknesses on your team. Doesn't hit hard? Make it a support! Not bulky enough? Use as a glass cannon! Not fast enough? Bring a Trick Room setter or just learn to deal with the speed issues. Take a hit and hit back harder. Just take a look at Wobuffet, the Nuzlocke killer. There is a reason you get 6 Pokemon slots.

You know what? You're absolutely right. I'll just build a team around one of these mons and go bash some skulls.

Okay, My team: Hydreigon, Syleon, Nidoking, Eeleltross, Arcanine, and Mega Blastoise. Any suggestions on theirs sets? I'm thinking of some mixed sets.

  15. ...I seriously don't know what you want tbh. I don't think ANY Pokemon will suit your desires.

    Possibly.

Maybe Ampharos? It fits all the requirements except speed, but I'd say it compensates with the rest of its stats.

It does get agility and it's pretty bulky. Maybe.

  16. if you want something good why are you turning them down? just take any of those because they are all good you dont need to worry about coverage because they hit so hard and are bulky

You're probably right. I just wanted something that I could use for an awesome mascot/ Solo run.

How about Galvantula? Only 2 weaknesses, Amazing base SpAtk and Speed, Compound Eyes to land Thunders and has coverage with Electric, Grass and Bug. And if you're worried about it taking a hit, then Sash it. If you face a bad matchup you could just Volt Switch out, or you could run HP Ice and kill pesky dragon types.

No, I don't think so. It's pretty frail.

  17. D-Dance set up is pretty great, namely Feraligatr and Scrafty plus their abiliies sheer force and moxie work wonders, and if you have concern for burn, special sweepers like Magnezone might be your go-to(with baton pass agility/speed boost as your support since magnezone is slow), or you can surprise opponents with special nasty plot set like Toxicroak etc.

Scafty has a quad weakness to fairy and it isn't naturally fast. Feraligatr, Sheer Force life orb is good with D dance, but it still can be burned. Magnezone everyone has ground coverage.

Swampert is what you are asking, especialy its mega evolution under the rain!

Other options are Conkeldurr, Mega-Gyarados (normal is still decent), Gallade (mega or not), Mega-Kangaskhan, Aegislash, Mega-Blastoise, Heatran, Hydreigon

I don't like Conkelder, Gyrados is powerful but still weak to a lot of things, Gallade is good when you can get bulk up and drain punch, Mega Kangaskhan is most likely going to get nerfed soon, Aegislash I prefer it's pre evolution with an eviolite, Mega Blastoise is amazing but I'm not sure, Heatran ground types are a problem and I don't normally run flying types, Hydreigon is cool but it has so many weaknesses that it can't cover them all.

    Arcanine?

    Diverse movepool: Check

    Bulky: Check

    Hits like a truck: Check

    Speed: Check. Priority too

If it gets a mega, then I'll take it.
