  1. I mostly use Marquis. Even if I'm not overly useful I do come in handy with objectives. I'm playin on Xbox one. But I need more friends. :-(

I will pretty much accept any requests, sneppaHtihS666 is my tag.

  2. My opinion on this is kinda varied. I believe that if a game has customization it should recognized in the game (like skyrim or dragon age interactions based on race) Not just a thing to waste time in the beginning of the game that have no effect whatsoever. (Fallout 4 as far as I can tell, except gender). Editing their personality through interactions is always a plus for me because it means your decisions actually have consequences.

As for fourth wall breaks, it's okay sometimes, like in the disgaea games it's funny. I don't think it should ever be done seriously (Except Star Ocean:TTET where you're playing a game within a game)

  3. My favorite JRPG is Breath of Fire. I'm so surprised there isn't more love for this series. I have played it through more than a dozen times and it never gets old.

Also a huge fan of the disgaea games.

Honorable mentions to Final Fantasy X and Star Ocean The Last Hope and Til The End of Time because I loved the story of those games.

  4. So I was on Facebook and one of the pages I follow was raving about this game. I downloaded it earlier today and so far I like it. Only played for about an hour so far but it has really good sprites. It has fanmon and a new type. Unlike all the other fanmon games I've played this one actually has good graphics and isn't really buggy. Plus it has online features that I can't use because of slow internet, but it seems pretty cool otherwise. It's still in Beta and will only have 8 gyms as far as I can tell (7 in current release). Rustling grass is in the game and a phone so you can re-battle trainers.

Anyone else heard of this or played it?

  5. 1. Definitely a fan of pokemon series.

    2. Disgaea is one of the best series ever, started with 2 first but have now played all except the ones for portable platforms.

    3. Breath of Fire, I love all of them except Dragon Quarter. I don't understand why there isn't more love for this series.

    4. Final Fantasy, I liked most of them but wish they would try to steer clear of sequels like they used to.

    5. Fire Emblem, huge fan of strategy.

    6. Summon Night Swordcraft Story 1 and 2. I could play them on a loop an endless amount of time and not get bored.

All the other games I play I wouldn't say I'm addicted to but I'm never without a game. Always either have my ds or a friend's console to play on when I'm not home.

  6. I'm the type of gamer who prefers story over everything. I used to use video games to escape my dull reality and that in turn made me a gamer. I obviously prefer the RPG genre but really anything with a deep story is good for me. I do like to get as much as I can for the most part. Damn you Disgaea. But sometimes that's not entirely possible. I really have to defend video games when I talk to some of the older generations and have read a bunch of the studies on benefits and hindrances of gaming, even wrote an essay in school. But yeah...casual/semi-completionist.

  7. So much for "God's miracle". Governments falsify history only so it favors them. But you can't blame them. Because people always hope for a "miracle". Endlessly complaining, lazy, nuisances...that's what the masses really are. Governments give them what they want...and history repeats itself. Governments might well have taken advantage of their insecurity..... But then again, people are satisfied being used. "God" is nothing but an image created out of their insecurity. It's their fault for knowing their comfortably numb, and not doing anything about it. -Wiegraf, Final Fantasy Tactics

You and I are the same... Miserable people forced to live false lives. Always being used by someone... Try hard and you'll be rewarded they say. Lies... Only those close to the top are rewarded without trying. It's the way of the world. Most people act the roles given to them... Then again, most of them haven't even noticed they're acting. No way I'd do that. I won't be used. I'll be the one using! Those who used me must pay for what they've done.-Delita, Final Fantasy Tactics

Education is the progressive realization of ignorance.-Bubbles, Powerpuff Girls

You can't beat a skill out of someone. They have to learn it in their own way and time. If you rush them, you only delay them. You have to be firm but not cruel. Cruelty is a barrier, and barriers slow people down.-Fiachna, Bec; book 4 of Demonata

Only a fool ignores good advice simply because it comes from an unlikely source.-Drust, Bec; book 4 of Demonata

Patients mimics infinity. And nobody can win a staring contest with infinity. No matter how long you last, infinity is just getting started.-The Sphinx, Rise of The Evening Star; book 2 of Fablehaven

Making mistakes is part of learning to choose well. No way around it. Choices are thrust apon us, and we don't always get things right. Even postponing or avoiding a decision can become a choice that carries heavy consequences. Mistakes can be painful-sometimes they cause irrevocable harm-but welcome to Earth. Poor choices are part of growing up, and part of life. You will make bad choices and you will be affected by the poor choices of others. We must rise above such things.-Patton Burgess, Keys to The Demon Prison; book 5 of Fablehaven

  8. I've got a couple crazy stories. Some less...legal than others. I'll recount one when i was a freshmen in high school. I was in a small school on my way to my second class when I hear a guy scream with rage. I then see the largest kid in our school charging through the hall, filled with kids and teachers alike, at full speed. He knocks everyone out of his way to try to get to the front door of the school. The doors were locked as they always were (we use the side door as the main entrance). He was now corralled in the entryway by the three largest teachers in the school, which he still towered over. He charged them again but got in his own way and tripped over his own feet. After he landed the principal jumped on him to keep him down. the cops were called and he was taken from the school. Despite all the onlookers, I seemed to be the only one to see him trip. Everyone else thought that the principal took him down. It was the talk of the school for a week. I found it anticlimactic because I knew the truth.

  9. So basically I woke up from a creepy dream the other day and wrote it down because I though it was a cool dream and overly vivid. I just want to know if it sounds like it could be a good story. Any critique is welcome.

Alright well the beginning is kinda fuzzy as dreams tend to be but here is the basic part of the beginning. A small group of people are going to an abandoned camp in the middle of the woods for a vacation. There are a lot of legends surrounding the camp but they've changed so much over the years that nobody knows the "truth". This particular group doesn't believe the legends at all. The one that is currently going around is that there was once a circus or freak show that set up camp way in the mountains when one of the performers went crazy and killed everyone. But he did it so savagely that a tiger was blamed for the incident. The tiger was put down but one of the performers was never found. It was said that if you venture too far from the camp while staying there he will kill you. Nobody knows what he looks like but everyone believes that the only picture that can be found at the camp is of him. The picture has three people in it, A tall, plump man maybe late 50s Asian and looks like the ring master. Another man early 30s, doing a handstand in the immediate background, average height and white. The third is a woman, because of her attire you can't really see her face, (some sort of cover or something) and she's wearing a long dress, poofy, like the one's you'd see in the victorian era. Everybody believes that the ringmaster is now the culprit of this legend. Well if you stray too far from camp you're said to meet him, but there are signs. First, any water source you're near, broken, burned out light bulbs will float to the surface, (the ones that look like they're from a bad horror movie, clear and somewhat warped) then a news paper blaming the tiger for a massacre in the woods (the thing that started the legends) would blow in and land right next to you. Then, you'd see him, standing just out of sight, large, and terrifying, the only thing you can make out is his silhouette, and before you have a chance to run he's already behind you and by the time you realize, you're already dead.
Well me and this group of people don't believe a word of this silly legend so we go to stay up there. It was me, 2 girls and 2 guys. We got to the camp early in the morning and found the infamous picture, which had faded due to being in the sun for countless years and the lights mentioned in the legend still strung up around the camp. We didn't think anything of it. We all set up camp and stayed there for awhile. While everyone was talking or just doing their own thing I decided to go look for a place we could all swim. I found a river behind the house and followed it for maybe a quarter mile until it came to a large, open area and a swimming hole. The whole area was open above and a little hill hid the area from anyone who may stray too close, so you wouldn't know it was there if you didn't follow the river.
Well on my way back to camp I saw this old timey light bulb wash up on the shore. Now at first I was a little creeped out by it but then I remembered the old camp had these in strings all around the camp, one must've fallen in and found it's way down the river to me. It was blown out, with a little black spot on the inside of the glass. Well I headed back to camp. I got there and told everyone about the spot I'd found and the guys wanted to scope the camp out some more so the girls and I went to go swim for an hour or so and the guys would catch up later. We start heading down the river and nothing really happens. We get to the swimming hole and while we're all swimming one of those light bulbs show up again. Again we blame the string of them along the camp. We dismiss it and keep enjoying the water. Then about 10 of those bulbs just show up in the water, they didn't flow in from the camp, they were just there.
We started to get a little creeped out and decided to head back, we took the opposite bank of the river back because it was closer and about halfway there we found the newspaper that blamed the tiger for a massacre in the area. We were now walking a little faster and kept looking over our shoulders and into the woods out of paranoia. Then I stopped and looked into the woods directly in the sun and saw someone standing there. I didn't take the time to try to identify him or her or whoever it was I just told them to start running. We made it back to the camp unharmed and we told them what happened while we were away and they seemed skeptical, as well they should. The whole thing was crazy. We shook it off as paranoia and got back to tending the camp.
We gathered wood from the immediate area and made a small camp fire. All seemed well. It was getting to late afternoon and someone had come up to the camp from where we entered the camp but they made themselves known before they came into view by introducing themselves. He was a tall black man who was in maybe his early 40s. He said he was in the area looking for this haunted camp he'd heard about. We told him to look no further. But then asked him to come back another time because we were a little put off by him as it was. He said he just wanted to look around the area a little first to see what the legend was all about. We showed him the lights strung up around the camp, told him about the little experience we had down the river and finally showed him the picture. He took the picture and stared at it for a minute.
He asked who the legend was about and we told him that everyone believes that it was the ringmaster that killed all those people
and not the tiger. But the legend changes like the weather. And then, he said the scariest thing I've ever heard. "So now the legend says I'm a tall Asain circus master?" At that point we all backed up and looked at him from a safe distance away. the girls tried to run away but when we turned to look where they were running they were gone. Not out of sight, just gone. nowhere to be found. We started yelling at the man. "Where did you take them!?" he just stood there and smiled. We kept yelling at the man asking what he did with our friends. Then he answered. "It was the tiger, remember? I never did anything."
Then we finally snapped one of the remaining three of us ran but me and the other charged him. We tackled him to the ground and demanded that he bring them back. He simply laughed and said, "There is no coming back from there." Next thing we knew he was behind us, no longer on the ground within our grasp and when I turned around to look at him, I woke up.
I'm aware of plot holes and that you don't know the characters (but to be fair I didn't know the characters either). but I'm really just wondering if this sounds like a good baseline for a story.
  10. GRANTED! But now they're Thiests and their god allows "ethnic cleansing"

I wish I could go into any and all game worlds I want and level up their way and if I die (in game) I just respawn back in my room and any abilities I learned will be able to be used IRL.

  11. Some of my favorite games are less underrated, more lesser known or under appreciated. I love the breath of fire series. 1 is a good start to a series, 2 is an amazing storyline with enough replay value to play 3 times, 3 is by far my favorite, watching your character age and the introduction of the "learn" and "master" systems, not to mention the dragon play style, 4 is good, nice storyline and good artwork, like the combo system even if it's not fully reliable. I didn't really like dragon quarter though. they could've done a lot better on that one.

  12. I'd have to go with water because I enjoy the cold so ice is a favorite of mine (though my teeth don't enjoy it) and with water I could cut through anything! I don't want earth bending because I hate being barefoot and fire would be TOO destructive where I live. Air bending would be okay but I would like water more for the ability to make a permanent structure in cold climates and cool designs made of ice.

  13. It sounds like an issue with your computer more so than the game. If you're playing on a desktop try switching out the keyboard. If you're using a laptop then take it to be checked out. (though since you were able to type this question idk what could be wrong) Also make sure your computer meets the system requirements for the game to run properly. I really can't think of anything else.

But welcome and I hope all works out well regardless because this is an amazing game.

Right...restarting the computer...I figured that would be the first thing to try...my bad.

  14. Idk what you all are talking about but I just started watching an anime called Log Horizon. Has anyone else heard of this? It's decent so far but i'm only 3 episodes in cuz i'm watching them as they download and my internet is extremely slow. (average download speed for me is 0.2-50 kbps. so maybe an episode every 2-3 hours.
