Not sure if this is a bug or what, but it's something for certain. Just walking through Route 3 and when I get to where I'm supposed to get to Goldenleaf and a metal gate's there and Aelita's on the other side of it.

Now this is my first time getting here. I know from playing an earlier version that Ren is supposed to put the gate up, and then I have to go get Venom, but I never saw Ren and can't find Venom either. Can anyone help me? I'll attach my game file as well if anyone can fix this, I can't really play like this.
