  1. I don't think it's necessary, but if it's part of the game it should definitely be a choice for the player and not something Melia forces onto the player. I also think the player should have a choice of others girls too. There seem to be quite a few of them and they're all pretty interesting. It's pretty hard to choose between Melia, Venam, Aelita, Saki, Amber, etc. so it'd be interesting if the player could make choices to earn their affection and turn friendship into love? It's probably complicated to program and completely unnecessary, but it'd still be a nice option. Naturally, any MC gender option should be able to do it as well.

It is actually a bug.Beldum is stated as an ace pokemon which could only be purified filling all of the chambers.

But because of a bug you can just fill one chamber and purify it.

Really? I was wondering why I only needed one, I guess that explains it. Though it does seem pretty bizarre you'd need to use every chamber to purify it. A level 5 Beldum doesn't really compare to a level 50 Lugia, Shadow or not. lol

  3. I purified Beldum! I only needed to fill one of the chambers with 4 normal-type Pokémon (thankfully), not sure if that's what you meant and I just misunderstood but thought I'd clarify just in case. Catching the thing was a nightmare, almost felt like I was trying to capture a legendary. The Metagross in Colosseum was easier to catch. lol

I think a couple starter events like that egg in west Gearen are random from a small pool, and i think they can only be done once so I guess you just have to wait for later versions for them without cheating.

I know from doing Zumi's requests that there are some very rare encounters in some areas, and they might also be day or night specific. Swirlix is a rare on route 2, and might be day only as well, but apparently there's also a trade for slurpuff in GDC (rain).

Damn, guess I have to wait a while for Treecko then. :[

I did Zumi's requests. Dedenne in particular was a nightmare... yet I've somehow seen two of those and not a single Swirlix. I didn't know about that Slurpuff trade though, I might go for that instead and just breed Swirlix or something. Thanks for the heads up on that!

Did you also manage to get Totodile, Mudkip, Litten and Cyndaquil (egg)?

And even better, Beldum, Type:null and Tyrunt/Amaura?

The only two of those I'm missing are Litten and Beldum. I honestly wasn't sure if Beldum was still in the game but I've not actually checked after gaining the requirements to see, so I should probably do that. Thanks for the info!

  5. Honestly, I'm wondering about the whole Giratina obsession thing. If he was obsessed with Giratina then why did it take him 3 decades and a personal vendetta against a child he'd met for 2 seconds to decide to finally go and get it from the lab? I never made the Geara-Gira connection before, so I can understand based on that, but... if he's obsessed then he must me the most patient man in the world. lol

  6. Yeah, if you're Cell searching there's a good chance you'll run into most of the strength areas. I recall a fairly small number of them requiring strength, but others you may just happen to find the strength areas while searching for them. Those things really require you to keep an eye out.

  7. I have a few questions relating the title of the topic. I just completed V9 and I'm going around catching all the Pokémon I haven't got yet and breeding a few new members for my team for when V10 is out, so I'm hoping for assistance.

First, the Mystery Eggs. (I got Pawniard and Charmander for those wondering.) I got both of the eggs that I'm aware of, but I read that Treecko, a team member I want, is only available as a starter or as a Mystery Egg at West Gearen if certain conditions were met. I'm wondering now if there is another way I am able to obtain Treecko or get another Mystery Egg that might contain it? As amazing as Rowlet is, I'd much rather have Sceptile than Decidueye, and I started with Riolu so I'm not really sure how I'm going to get Treecko at this point. I don't use mods on my game and don't plan to.

Secondly, I'm currently looking for Corsola, Bouffalant and Audino. I know from the Pokémon locations guide that Corsola is at Aquamarine Cave and the latter two are on route 7, but I've been looking for a while and haven't bumped into them. Do they only appear in certain parts of the cave/route or are they just rare?

Speaking of rare, I want a Swirlix so I can chain breed Wish to Eevee and I can't find the damn thing. Damn it Swirlix.

Finally, does anybody know how many Zygarde Cells in total are currently in the game right now? I've already got the Lucky Egg but I'd still like to collect the rest I may be missing.

    Thanks in advance!

  8. I recall that a few areas that require strength hide TMs and Zygarde Cells, and I'd say those are worth getting. The ones that specifically come to mind are a TM in Amethyst Grotto, a Zygarde Cell in Crawli's Gym and I believe there was another Zygarde Cell or two that required strength in Darchlight Cave? I could be wrong about that, but strength was definitely needed there. There was also a strength area in Carotos Mountain that led to an item but I forget what that was. It was just a regular Poké Ball sprite though so I don't think it was important.

Honestly, you may as well just go back to anywhere strength was usable. Best to get everything you've not done yet out of the way before V10 is out IMO. I finished V9 yesterday myself and all I've been doing since then is completing side quests and backtracking everywhere to find the things I missed. lol

  9. It's hard to say what's happened to him at this point. "No longer functioning" is the only real hint we got, and that could allude to several things. All that really tells us is that whatever his fate, he's not able to operate for Team Xen right now. Considering the last time we saw him was when he was teleported, he could be anywhere for all we know. The general assumption here seems to be that he's either dead or not mentally prepared to continue with his role, but perhaps he's no longer a functioning member because he's MIA? If they don't know where he is and have no way of contacting him, he can't carry out any tasks for Team Xen. That's just a thought though. I don't know what to think of his current fate. All I really believe at this point is that he's not dead. They've made a big deal out of every big death that's happened so far, and the way they worded it as "no longer functioning" is a very strange way of putting it if they intended to say he's dead. It'd be much simpler to say something like "he met his demise" or "he's no longer with us". I could be wrong and maybe he really is dead. I have my doubts because of the way it was said though. It's too ambiguous for me to believe he's permanently deceased.

  10. Talking to the old man triggers the event, but it doesn't cause Lucario to appear at the cave. There are a number of places you have to find Lucario before you can get Riolu. The first place you find it is at the very northwest of Ametrine on top of a building. You don't have to climb to the top of the building or anything, you just see it up there and it'll hop away. If you've already seen that, go talk to the old man again. If you get stuck any more I'll try and help how I can.

  11. It's been a couple of years and I'd like to do something different with mine, so that's what I'm going to do.

    Team Grim

Grim Lord (My name is Grim, and my team is named after me. I am simply known as "Grim Lord" or "Lord of Grim", no name is tied to my title.)

As ruler of Team Grim, I seek to mold the world into the way I want it to be. I will capture several legendary Pokémon that I deem integral to my plan, and I shall become a dictator of the entire planet. I will create the law, I will maintain the order, I will crush the resistance. I am going to use the power of Mega Evolution, Ultra Beasts, Z-Power and more to achieve this goal. I will capture Mewtwo to have one of the most powerful Pokémon in the world serve as my bodyguard and right hand. I will capture Darkrai to serve as the eternal torment for those who disobey my laws. I will capture Dialga to reverse time should the need ever arise. I will subjugate Arceus in order to achieve the ultimate, unstoppable power of a god. My desires are not evil as much as they are selfish, all I wish is for a world I can be happy in. I want others to be happy too, but if they are willing to destroy my own happiness to achieve that, then I will show no mercy. I will be seen as a tyrant, but I am simply yet another man just trying to get what he wants in life. The only difference between me and others... is I have the power to accomplish my goals.

  12. Honestly, me neither. People just probably weren't playing Mystery Dungeon at the time so they had no need for such a thing. I'm hoping now this idea will spark more interest, given the re-releases and the new game coming outside of Japan and NA soon. I would have thought people would enjoy helping each other out more!

  13. I made a similar topic to this a while ago, but I feel now might be a good time to revive the idea. Introducing... the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Centre!

This is basically a free topic that I'm making for people who play the Mystery Dungeon games. I'm unsure if this applies to Super Mystery Dungeon as of right now as I'm personally yet to play (I live in Europe. No spoilers please!) but in PMD: Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, there was a feature called Wonder Mail. With Wonder Mail, you could use codes to basically play any kind of mission you want in the game. Want a specific reward so you can easily recruit that one Pokémon that's been annoying you, or so you can cheap your way into getting yourself a Secret Slab or Mystery Part? Wonder Mail is your friend! But there was one more thing that Wonder Mail did, which is why I decided to create this topic...

Friend rescues! Yes, Wonder Mail was wonderful enough (no pun intended) to allow you to rescue other players! If they fell in a dungeon, they could call for help and send out a Wonder Mail code to a friend (or a stranger on the internet), and then they could be rescued! All their rescuer would have to do is play in the same dungeon layout and reach the floor the client was KOed at. Simple! (Unless you're in a super hard dungeon. Then it was a pain.) With Red/Blue Rescue Team recently releasing on the EU e-shop (and presumably the NA e-shop soon), as well as Super Mystery Dungeon still being a new game (releasing in Europe on February 19th!), I thought what better way to celebrate than for everyone to help each other out? Did you fall in a dungeon, but don't want to go back down 50 floors and try again? Do you have an item in your inventory you can't risk losing? Call for help! Just simply put the details of your mission (i.e dungeon you fell in, floor you fell at, a reward if you have one to offer, etc.) and then follow with the Wonder Mail Code so that someone may rescue you! It's a great way to increase your explorer rank, possibly get rewards that you need to help you, and most importantly, communicate with other users on the forum! Just be sure to delete your response or let people know that someone else has completed the mission if you no longer need to be rescued! This idea didn't take off last time I tried this, but I'm hoping that this time it will garner more interest since the games are currently in peoples' minds. So with that, have fun and happy exploring!

tl;dr - If you fall in a dungeon in Red/Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky or Super Mystery Dungeon (if the rescue service is available in that game) then put your Wonder Mail code in this topic board so someone will rescue you. Try to rescue other people as well if you have time and feel like being nice.

  14. Yeah, that's why they kept things equal between 3DS and Wii U. It is a dick move to add new characters to one version and not another for those that can't get the other version(s), but they never had any obligation to do it in the first place, that's just how Sakurai wanted to do it. With a port the chance that he could change his mind or someone else could work on the game and make it happen instead is entirely possible. It's not fair to people who can't get it, I understand. All I'm saying is that with it being a later version, it can be updated to have more so that it's actually enticing, and not just a lazy copy and paste so people who get it basically waste their money. Even if it was out right now, I wouldn't be able to get it right now either, so I do understand how you feel. The developers may not let that interfere with them expanding the game though, that's my point. I still think it'd be cool if they did add new characters though, just so if the chance ever arose to get the NX then they'd be available to use then, and if not, you can at least watch them in action and judge if you like them that way.

  15. That's not exactly true. He made the Wii U version and 3DS version side by side to make things "fair" for owners who could only afford one version of the game, but an enhanced port of the game that comes after the development of the original games doesn't necessarily have to follow that same rule of "fairness," simply because it's released after the original games. Besides, if they're going to use the exact same game to promote a new console, that's not going to encourage people to move on from the Wii U. A lot of people would see reason to get the NX for Smash alone if it added even one character that Wii U and 3DS doesn't have, and seeing as Ice Climbers are both well loved veterans and already complete on Wii U, it'd make perfect sense to add them. Granted, it's not a guarantee, and I've never personally said it was. But the possibility is there. Same with any character really, but them in particular have a higher chance purely because they were already finished, so little work needs to be done to get them into the NX port, if it exists. Adding any new character just makes sense really - any dedicated Smash player with money will flock to it because they'd feel they're obligated to try that new character as a Smash fan, anybody who liked the new character would be interested in the port and perhaps by the console, and as previously mentioned, adding extra content to the game will encourage people to move to the next generation for it. Sakurai is an unpredictable guy, so if he's involved in this then there's no clue as to what we can expect, but from a business perspective the logical thing to do in order to raise sales of both the port and the console would be to add new characters. I personally don't believe it will happen, but I do believe the possibility is there and I hope that it does happen if, again, this port truly exists.

You're free to have your opinion, I just hope I've made mine clear so that you might find it more agreeable is all.

  16. It's too soon to be a completely new game. Nintendo news sites seem to think the source is legitimate so it's possible this is true, but I'd rather hear from Nintendo themselves before I believe anything.

I believe that, if this is true, it's simply gonna be a port of the Wii U version that will probably add Ice Climbers since they were completely finished on Wii U back in early development of the game, before they got scrapped thanks to 3DS. But that's the only reason I see them getting in - because they were already done. Unless he's been hiding other characters from us (which I doubt), or is just feeling really generous and wants to continue giving us characters (which I also doubt), that will likely be it. I believe the DLC characters will still be available as DLC even in the port, or at least some of it like stages and third-party characters, but if it is all free then great.

I want to believe this is true. I'm skeptical about it though because Sakurai's said on several occasions that working on Smash isn't giving his team a chance to do much else due to the heavy workload it requires, and he's only just revealed the "final" DLC character. If he were to work on a NX port of Smash U, now would be the time while he's still got the game in his mind, but I find it hard to believe. He wants to do other things and has made a point on multiple occasions that he doesn't know if he wants to carry on with the Smash series because of the massive amounts of stress it puts him through at times.

There has been a port of Smash Bros. 64 on the Wii VC before (maybe Wii U too, I forget) but that's the only time a game has been ported, and that was unchanged besides the fact you could use different controllers to play it. The only reason I can really see a NX port happening is so he has a fair enough reason to add Ice Climbers to the game. Beyond that, I think it'd be better to just hold off until a new Smash game in 5 years or so for the NX, assuming there will be another one.

tl;dr I wanna believe it but I don't. Praying Ice Climbers will finally get in like they deserve.

    Also free Wolf.

  17. Thanks for the info guys!

One last thing - I'm still at Charlotte in Episode 12, is there any way I can go back to the department store at this point? I don't recall being able to go back to Reborn City at this point in the game.

Also lol I had no idea anyone commented. No e-mails at all. Delicious.

  18. Let me explain a little bit.

I've not played Pokémon Reborn in a while because I got stuck on Charlotte, so I've not been doing too well at keeping up with the game's updates. What I DO know is that Riolu has now been put into the game (if the guide of available Pokémon isn't lying to me lol) and that I'm 3 episodes behind, soon to be 4. My first question is where can I find Riolu? It was previously a trade at Kiki's Gym (that's her name if I remember correctly, don't shoot me!) that was replaced by Darumaka. Did it once again become the trade there, or is it in a later episode? If it's a later episode, I would only like to know the name of the town/route that he is on. I don't want any spoilers please.

My second question is can I delete EVs? I mean, I know there's an item or two (I believe they were berries) back in the area of Reborn City with the Grass-type Gym and the arcade, but after a certain point in the story, it's impossible to go back there, and I didn't EV train my team before that point. Because of this, I'm really struggling to defeat Charlotte, and that's ultimately what made me put the game down and has made me hesitant to pick it back up. I'm curious if a new way to delete them at my current location has been implemented, or if it's possible to go back and delete EVs again at the game's current point in the story. Again, I don't want any spoilers, but if it is possible to go back and delete them again past where I'm at then at least tell me that please.

I'm sorry if I'm coming across as demanding or I wrote too much. I'm looking for pretty specific answers (as I may have made obvious by this point) so I felt it was necessary. I appreciate any help in regards to these questions. Thank you!

  19. I completely forgot there was a deeper part of the Power Plant, I never knew how to get there. I guess that explains why I could never evolve my Magneton.

I was pretty sure you could still get Magnemite before fighting Shelly anyway, but I could be wrong.

One thing is for sure, whether you can get Magnemite and Klink or not, you'll DEFINITELY need to evolve Prinplup and lay Stealth Rock on the first turn if you want to win.

  20. Magneton/Magnezone will be terrific for taking out Yanmega. I highly recommend getting one of those. Magnemite is in the power plant, and as far as memory serves you can evolve Magneton into Magnezone by levelling it up in the power plant. It can help with Scyther too if Onix has been taken out before then.

I agree about the Empoleon post too. Evolve it then common candy it. The resist can make bide pretty effective, and having the STAB + attack boosts on Metal Claw will actually make it somewhat useful for the fight. As a Prinplup it's just begging to be taken out.

Unless Onix and Empoleon break the level limit mid-battle, I'd avoid using Wormadam and Forretress. Looking at their movesets, there's not really much they can do. Metal Sound + Psybeam/Mirror Shot would be effective from Wormadam but I don't remember it being all too bulky, and some of Shelly's Pokémon are pretty hard hitters.

As for Forretress... He's just not gonna do any damage without Gyro Ball. I'd say the most he'll be needed for is walling hits in case you need to heal a 'mon or use a revive. But I dunno, I could be wrong about that.
