  1. First off, points to anyone who understands the Dropping the Gloves title. (Yet, for some reason, I didn't add Hitmonchan ZOMG SPOILERS)

    620.gif

    Mienshao (M) @ Normal Gem

    Trait: Regenerator

    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

    - Acrobatics

    - Hi Jump Kick

    - Stone Edge

    - Fake Out

Mienshao works great as a lead with that Fake Out, and after a Normal Gem and that sick attack stat, it hurts like hell and also boosts Acrobatics, which is there to take out the bug-types that come in hoping to resist my team. Hi Jump Kick is the STAB attack of choice because of the raw power (and I can heal any misses if I do survive them by switching), and Stone Edge completes the set, slaughtering slower Flying-types.

    448.gif

    Lucario (F) @ Choice Specs

    Trait: Steadfast

    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Dragon Pulse

    - Aura Sphere

    - Dark Pulse

    - Psychic

Did you know Lucario could be a special attacker? Yes, Lucario can be a special attacker. Yes, it's very good at it. Dark Pulse murders Psychic types, while Psychic deals with other fighters that are slower and don't back Mach Punch, as well as Poison types. Aura Sphere is the STAB move (and never missing is awesome). Dragon Pulse takes care of Dragon-types, which is especially nice if I'm facing a Flying or Ground team and can nail them on the switch.

    214.gif

    Heracross (M) @ Choice Scarf

    Trait: Guts

    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

    - Close Combat

    - Megahorn

    - Stone Edge

    - Earthquake

I'm one of the few who refuses to use Dream World abilities (there are some exceptions, such as Regice and Cinccino), and besides, Guts can be a godsend at times. However, that's beside the point. This thing is an excellent revenge killer, what with the Scarf letting it outspeed stuff and the combination of incredibly powerful STAB attacks. Edgequake, Close Combat, and Megahorn hits a LOT super-effectively. The big counter to this is Gengar.

    297.gif

    Hariyama (M) @ Leftovers

    Trait: Thick Fat

    EVs: 156 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Def / 16 SDef

    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)

    - Low Kick

    - Payback

    - Whirlwind

    - Bullet Punch

Here I was going for a more defensive Hariyama who can also phaze. EV spread is unusual, but I kinda came up with it on the fly. The moveset is mostly in tribute to Bruno's Hariyama that almost de-railed the 2010 Speed Gamers Marathon, and it works well. Payback will sting anything that hits it (unless Hariyama is burned); even dealing massive damage to bulky Psychics like Reuniclus. Bullet Punch is more or less a finishing move, or a last-ditch effort if Hariyama is being sacrificed. Low Kick demolishes heavy Pokemon, especially ones that are weak to fighting. Since it's more defensive, I went with Thick Fat for the extra resistances.

    062.gif

    Poliwrath (F) @ Leftovers

    Trait: Water Absorb

    EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spd

    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)

    - Circle Throw

    - Substitute

    - Waterfall

    - Focus Punch

The two Fighting moves may seem stupid, but there's a good reason: phazing. Circle Throw is very useful for stat-uppers who threaten my entire team (and also owns Baton Pass chains), and this is why I chose it over Hypnosis. SubPunch needs no introduction, and Waterfall is there for Water-type STAB. Water Absorb makes it easy to switch in on moves like Scald and Hydro Pump.

    560.gif

    Scrafty (M) @ Life Orb

    Trait: Moxie

    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

    - Hi Jump Kick

    - Dragon Dance

    - Crunch

    - Ice Punch

DD + Moxie Scrafty is a great boosting sweeper that's very easy to get in. Bring it in on a Psychic move, DD on the switch, and now you've got +1 attack, great natural bulk, +1 speed, and fantastic coverage with HJK, Ice Punch (for Flying types and dragons), and Crunch. After that, with all the Moxie boosts it gets, not much can stop it, other than its own Life Orb recoil and super effective priority moves (which here is limited to Vacuum Wave and Mach Punch IIRC).

  2. While I really don't like watching sports. Mostly because I would rather play sports. Though I do follow NCAA football due to my family's obsession with the Boise State Broncos. College football is best due to the athletes giving their all due to them doing it to make it in the NFL. It's fun to see a college football game than the NFL. I don't have a favorite team since I really don't care since the thrill of the game is entertaining.

College has more spirit imho, which makes it fun to watch.
  3. 5-0'd Laura after critting Serperior and her misplaying with Breloom against Bisharp (she didn't Mach Punch and I wound up Psycho Cutting it into oblivion).

5-0'd Shade, would have been 6-0 if my Gorebyss didn't get burned.

Aya was a LOT closer, and I would have lost had I not gotten a bunch of crits early on, including two Psycho Cuts in a row. Beat her 2-0.

    MVP so far: Bisharp
    Other MVP: Gorebyss
  4. Just curious, I shouldn't be the only one.

I follow a myriad of hockey leagues and some other stuff.

    NHL - Jets

AHL - IceCaps, Penguins (22 Game STH)

    ECHL - Eagles

    Central HL - Mallards

    FHL - Whalers

    OHL - Bulls

    QMJHL - Wildcats

    WHL - Wheat Kings

    Swedish Elitserien - Farjestad BK

    Finnish SM-liiga - SaiPa Lappeenranta

    German DEL - Krefeld Pinguine

    NCAA hockey - Michigan (Trouuuuuuuuuuuba)

    Russian KHL - Dinamo Minsk

    AL - Red Sox

    NL - Brewers

    NBA - Trail Blazers

    NBL Canada - Miracles

    NCAA Basketball - Loyola (IL)

    CFL - Blue Bombers

    NCAA Football - Pitt

    MLS - Union

    NLL - Rush

    MLL - Lizards

    NALL - Flying Dutchmen

    ...I have a problem.

  5. dude i saw patent pending live at the beginning of last summer :D

    They're awesome as hell dude

wwwwwelcome to reborn c: enjoy my random flareon/cherrims thrown in here and there cuz i loooove them uwu

I saw them around that time too, in Stroudsburg PA.

Just saw them two weeks ago in the same place, and am seeing them again on December 21! If the Mayans were right, at least I'll be dying happy :P

  6. Hey everyone!

I am Reborn's #1 Winnipeg Jets fan, AKA WPGJetsFTW! Probably also the most misplaced Jets fan in the universe, living in the middle of nowhere AKA Northeastern Pennsylvania. But whatever, I'm AKAing a lot.

Let's start with Pokemon. My policy is that I'd rather lose with stuff I like than win with stuff I hate. In my opinion, it's more fun that way, unless it's complete garbage (hi2u Farfetch'd). I never use or intend to use Pikachu, Ferrothorn, Chansey, or Blissey.

As for other video games I play, mainly the NHL series of games (360). I also like to listen to music and my favorite genres are punk rock and alternative rock. My favorite bands include but are not limited to: Pennywise, Rise Against, The Offspring, Patent Pending (who I've seen twice in the last year and am going to see them again in December), Arcade Fire, and Smashing Pumpkins. As for other stuff, I like to watch hockey, Canadian football, and field lacrosse. Which is probably the most ridiculous mix you've ever seen.

I'm a junior in high school right now. In the future I plan on becoming a sports broadcaster, with computer science as my backup. My favorite subject is computer science, to boot.

Anywho, I feel like I've been rambling, so I'll answer any questions if there are any!
