  1. you could get away with a pre-built pc but you might still find performance issues with a budget of $200 since lower end pre-built pcs are basically trash cans

i'll edit this later if i can come up with a decent and budget pc build for you, and building a pc isn't hard at all

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8bBVf8 here's what I came up with, it's ~$230 but you're getting intel hd 510 graphics which should be fine for reborn and other 2d games along with 4gb of ram; this is not including a copy of windows though

what I want to know is what are your current pc's specs are, cpu, gpu, and how many gb of ram?

  2. So the winter steam sale started today and will last until the 2nd I believe, what is everyone planning on getting? And what sales have stood out to you so far?

Right now I'm planning on getting civ 6, I could get it cheaper on GMG but I have a gift card for steam so I'm forced to buy it there :[

It's not more than two months so I can post here.

Anyway I'll say now Smash 4 metagame is very inconsistent. A hella inconsistent.

And I've been playing my local and got really good result, top 5 at it. Happy bout it :)

As well going to ecplise 2, fell into pools with getting 3th at my pool rip. Playing 3ds can give you lag input which sucks, but was my first time playing faraway at my country. So I'm happy enough.

And I dropped from falco to shulk so Sonic&Shulk dual main.

I hope I can get a switch if they habee sm4sh ported. Then Wii u another option maybe.

its pretty much guaranteed at this point that the switch will get a sm4sh port, but it's likely that the wii u will still be the optimal choice for tournys since you won't be able to use gc controllers on it and all the input lag of using so many of the switch pro controllers in a small setting

  4. Oi, no need to r00d. Let's all try to keep things cool around here. Opinions are opinions and everyone has there own. Smash 4 players should be welcome to share there own views as long as they're talking about Melee as well. That's part of what this thread's about after all.

On topic, I'm a super big fan of Melee. It's definitely my number 1 investment as far as gaming goes, and I'd really like nothing more than to reach the top level of play. I main Marth, but I've been working on Fox and Falco as well, though there nowhere near my Marth yet. I also have a pocket Mario as my low-tier of choice. I've been practicing for around four years now, but I've only really started going to tournaments and learning how to play against real people this past year. It basically means that tech-skill wise, I'm far beyond most people in my area, but I really need to learn the neutral game intricacies to improve. Anyway, I'm down to play netplay with anyone who wants to do that.

As far as tier list discussion, I'm interested in hearing what others have to say about the top characters. My own list would be something like

    Fox

    Falco

    Marth

    Sheik

    Puff

    Peach

    Falcon

    Samus

    ICs

    Yoshi

    Luigi

as far as the top and high mid characters go. I feel like Puff in particular performs better in practice than where I've placed her, but I think that with time she'll become more predictable and people will have an easier time dealing with her. I honestly considered placing her right under Falcon, where I think she'll end up, given some time.

no pika?? shame on you >:[

  5. I enjoyed playing melee a ton when I was younger and would love to get into competitive melee like I am with sm4sh but unfortunately it's way to late to do that with how much melee has advanced on a technical level.

It's way more entertaining watching melee then it is sm4sh but the metagame feels really lacking, some of the more interesting characters of the melee cast have pretty much no viability in competitive settings, unlike sm4sh where even though tiers exist, the overall viability for the top half of the cast which is like 30+ characters aren't very far from each other.

  6. Hi friends, I'm surprised that this hasn't gotten a thread yet.

Battlerite is a new MOBA in it's early access phase, it's a revamp of Bloodline Champions made to be more faster paced of a game. You can currently buy it for $20 on steam and with that, you'll get all champs/all future champs with that, so it's a pretty good deal. It'll be F2P sometime in the coming months for those who don't want to pay for the early access.

If anyone wants to add me, my IGN for it is MrFameMonsta.
