I tried playing the game using joiplay like I used to, it's crashing everytime it's about to start, can someone help me out?

I've decided to start it all over again, would love to relive the moments and play the early game changes. I'm a bit confused tho, should I wait for the final release or start playing in this beta version itself?

So hyped up about the final episode, This is a great game with a great story. Happy that I'll finally be able to complete it.
