[Stuck in Ametrine Mountain, like a lot of people apparently]

Was able to get through with a Wailmer, thanks a ton.

So I'm new at this whole forum stuff so hopefully I put this in the right place, sorry in advance. Anyway I'm stuck in Ametrine Mountain due to the unreversable ice puzzle, I didn't do the shortcut with Crustle and so can't get back to the circus for Dive having just beat the fire gym. I've found a lot of posts of people in the exact same position but I can't find a legimate solution other then using my saves to skip back over 5 hours of gameplay and grinding which I'm not willing to do. So yeah curious if there's a way outta this?
