Goodra set?

I recently bred a 5 IV Goomy. Here are its stats:

Female

Gooey

Modest

31 HP, 31 Atk, 31 Def, 31 Sp. Atk, 31 Sp. Def.

0 EVs

-Tackle

-Bubble

What should I run on this Goomy? Special Sweeper? Mixed Sweeper? Bulky set (but I don't have hydration)? EV spread? Moveset? Thanks.

Looking at what you have and your lack of speed, you're going to get hit a lot. I see this, and decided to do the following:

(Goodra) (F) @ Assault Vest

Trait: Gooey

EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk

Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)

- Flamethrower

- Dragon Pulse

- Sludge Wave

- Thunderbolt

This is a good way to really mess up someone. Goodra is already insanely bulky against Special Attacks, and the Assault Vest boosts this further. This allows to focus a biiit more on the offense, but in turn you cant use status moves. The only surefire way to deal with this set immediately is to attack it physically, which slows the attacker in response. Goodra's got a good special move pool, and it is not restricted to to ones I chose for this post.

Nice, this is what I was thinking along the lines of. Yep, you have three options when facing an AV Gooey Goodra: get your speed lowered, get stalled, or give up lol
