Breeding Question

Ok, soooo can someone tell me what kind of things are you looking for when your breeding? I see alot of stuff about their nature, how does that affect them and such? I never really got into the whole breeding thing till here so I have no idea about that kind of stuff. Any and all info is appreciated.

Natures can Boost and Diminish certain stats by an amount, (Max/min natures)

Breeding also allows for certain movesets, like We don't have the TM Earthquake. Yet I got a Geodude to Breed Earthquake onto my Onix.

Breeding also helps getting specific IV's to maximize the stats of pokemon.

one more thing breeding is fun especially when you have a pick up crew, getting items while roaming around and simultaneously hatching a pokemon with nice nature and moveset from day care.

To transfer nature, let the mother hold everstone and the child will have the same nature as the mother.
