  1. I shared it over in the Discord, but I completely forgot to share it here. When V13 released I was very impressed at the new Aevium forms and being new to spriting I wanted to try and make my own. I was more insecure about my work then, but I feel confident to share it now! Introducing my own Aevium Pokemon, meet the Fire/Grass type Falinks! Stranded on Terajuma Island, this group of Falinks had to adapt to its new environment over time. From scavenging in the jungle to scaling the mountain, the Falinks had to make the most out of what was available as their equipment began to degrade over time. Exchanging one of their shields for a spear to attack from afar and constructing new shields to defend up close, they have adopted a new fighting style for a more offensive formation. Though they've grown to rely more on their instincts than instruction, the Falinks will continue to follow their leader through thick and thin no matter the challenge that bars their path!

  5. ~ Shrouded In Mystery ~ Hey everyone! It's good to be back giving you all an update on things! I couldn't really organize our inner workings into a single theme, so you'll just have to bear with a smattering of... well, things. Due to the chaotic nature of everyone's lives at the moment, we've all been working on different stuff at different times. This means there aren't really clear sections on what I'll be talking about, so I hope you like... uh... words. Let's get started. - A very early WIP concept Ruby has been working on - For me, life has been pretty crazy lately. I'm about to sit my final exams for medical school, so my life has consisted of essentially living in the hospital, then working when I'm not there. The most exciting part is that the end is in sight... but I'm just not quite there yet. This has meant that I haven't had ample time to stick to one task (like I usually do) i.e. main story, longer side quests, and questlines, etc. Instead, I've been working on a lot of 'stuff' throughout the month. This includes shorter side quests, scripting, and graphical updates, as well as some general tinkering. It's all useful stuff that I've more or less been procrastinating, really. On the bright side, I have had some pretty great output on the writing side of things, but I'll leave that for another update. Now, enough of me moaning. I've stolen the spotlight ranting about myself long enough, so I'll show off some of Posty and Crim's work too. Posty's been busy working on many of the new areas that we will explore outside of the city in E6. He's beginning to deeply expand his role, and I'm pretty proud of the guy. Lately, he's started branching out into side quest building as well. This has sped things up more than you can imagine. We're working at slightly different points of the game, but it means that the gaps are being filled in far more quickly. Speaking of side quests, I just wanted to mention that there was a wee update to the quest log look. It might stand to change some more, but I thought I'd keep you all in the loop. Finally, I'd like to touch on an area Crim has spent a huge amount of time working on, and it definitely paid. It's definitely the highlight of this monthly update, which again makes me super grateful to have her around. The colors and atmosphere in this area are pretty great, and I can't wait for you to see it in E6. Yeah, it's pretty good fun bringing this area together. What's it meant to be used for? Well... we'll leave that in mystery just for the time being. Once again, super proud of Crim's work. Well, that's it for this month's update. Once again, I apologize for the disjointed nature of our inner workings. It's just been a chaotic time outside of development. We're hanging in there, and I'm glad you're hanging in with us. Till next time, Caz

  8. This is just a WIP of mine but I've always felt that any mega metagross back sprite I could find online just didn't do the insanely badassely designed pokemon justice. I've been working on one of my own for a few hours yesterday & another few today & was also wondering if anyone decided they wanted to make some tweaks to it (because my work is no where near flawless in this one) they can take the full credit I'd just really like to see the persons work. Anyway here is my megagross back sprite WIP (not a shiny recolor this time). (The 2nd one is another attempt with a different upper right front limb) (Update: Did some more work I think these next more recent 2 might be a little bit better)

  11. It's a bug! I'll try to get that fixed for the next version! Thanks for the report! :D --- On that note, aiming to release Plates of Arceus: Episode 0 (aka v0.6.13) on Sunday, 30th October! There's one event left to redo (shrine opening), a handful of Pokémon to sprite (although two handfuls to do shinies for), a few NPC sprites and a few bug fixes to do. Skipping the animations this time, though, to make sure it releases at a good time.

  15. this time will be a little different. we have the usual e19 scoreboard up, but after that there will be a second (much more significant) board for post-game. I'm still ironing out post-game's features exactly (also will be open to some suggestions) but I'm not turning my attention to that until the game's main story is completed. also... i may take somewhat of a break between the two to get something else going... y'all know? but that's not for a while yet. one thing at a time, darlings. one fraction of a percentage at a time.

On a bit of hopeium rn, but i think it would be really cool if the entire cast came together to storm the city, kinda like in agate, as it will most likely be one of the final battles with meteor.

I know her mask doesn't has an eye section.I know this because when i battled her at blacksteeple castle ( and i beated the hell out of her). Sooo yeah there are only two explanations which are 1. She has some power to see through it 2. She forgot to add an eye section to her mask when she was making it

  24. I assume that rain will be present, similar to hail during titania's battle, as this will grow the field, and when rain is up ya cant burn the field so you will most likely have to waste a turn to change the conditions, What makes it even more scary is that this is an Elite 4 fight, meaning we cant make custom teams for the battle, so i doubt you'll bring both charizard and typhlosion. Everyone saying the postgame looking tough, meanwhile im still terrified for what the main story holds in store for us.

I have paired this with a Rainbow Gen run (1 from each gen, alternating which one comes in as I lose team members). Let's me keep a decent team without ever being complacent and just going with my favorites. It's the reason I learned how good Sudowodo was as a utility mon.

  31. Hi! I hope that you're doing well. I said it, and I meant it -- there is another chapter right before the fic's birthday. I'll try to either edit this post or reply tomorrow to add some statistics. The story is now fifty-nine chapters long, and I believe, before checking out, that it will pan out to at least 300 pages and 150,000 words, far more than e.g. Prisoner of Azkaban (but we might not have reached the 190,000-ish words of Goblet of Fire), so I'm trying to find a better format than Word for the entire content. I'll tell you tomorrow (I hope) if I managed it. This chapter is an unexpected idea I had while on vacation. I suppose that, like these little ideas of mine, it's hit or miss, and therefore your honest feedback is (even more than usual) appreciated. I guess I should give a warning about description of nasty physical injuries, but it's one of the things in this chapter/arc that I'm not too sure about. Chapter 59: Pentest Player's note:

  32. CHAPTER 2: CASCOON, CASCOON, SILCOON and A TESTAMENT OF WILL After busting into an old man's apartment, it was time to search for quite a list of Pokémon. I quickly notice on the Wiki that Trubbish has a 1% chance of spawning, so I'm not going to worry about it here, and Stunky as well since I know they are also in Peridot Alley. The focus right now is Cherubi, Spinarak, Ledyba, Hoothoot, Caterpie, and Wurmple <.< ... The first Wrumple arrives and I really like it, but I know I'm going to need a couple of them to get both Dustox and Beautifly. Not long after a Shiny Ledyba appears... and another... and another..., and oh my lord please no. Yeah I was being swarmed by these things, and they are found in multiple areas in Reborn they will plague me throughout the run not as much as another Pokémon that starts with T, but it's third. I then luck into a Shiny Cherubi not bad. Having acquired most of the morning Pokémon, I change my system time to night and continue hunting. I catch a few more Wurmples up to four by the time I finish catching all the other night time Pokémon. Spinarak, Hoothoot, and Caterpie is caught without too much trouble. By the way, my friends and I were discussing what Pokémon we used in Generation 1. I told them I kept Butterfree all the way through the game, and my friends asked me why. Butterfree is pretty fast, and has Compound Eyes Sleep Powder need I say more. Also Butterfree is pretty handy Pokémon to have on this run primarily for Compound Eyes to increase item collection rate, and Sleep Powder a very accurate move in the hands of Butterfree and a nice status condition to help capture Pokémon. I'll be using the Ariados later to help deal with a Pesky Land Shark, but that's way later in the run. With four Wurmples in hand I begin leveling each one, and evolving them odds are I'll get one of each no problem. First one evolves into a Cascoon, and that's one down now just need a Silcoon. Second evolves again Cascoon to be expected, but surely the next one will be a Silcoon. The third one evolves; another Cascoon, I'm starting to sweat. The last one evolves... it's a Cascoon. I'm pretty much defeated. At this point I still haven't learned to check where else I can find Pokémon later in the run to counter the early woes. I jump back in to find another Wurmple, and desperately level it up praying to whichever god would hear me out. It's evolving, and finally I get my one Silcoon. All right Bibarel you know what time it is. Nothing too interesting here I find both a Male and Female Burmy for Mothim and Wormadam. I really like Wormdam's Shiny sprite neat concept. After causing the next extinction event in the Old Man's precious garden I head off to the lake to go fishing. Every time I have to fish I deactivate speed mode because I do not have a fast enough reaction time to keep it on maybe younger me could do it, but younger me thought Drakengard 1 was an easy game on the hardest difficulty. Two Goldeens, 1 Finneon, and 1 Grimer later, and I'm done packing away the Old Rod for what will be a very long time. Now a quick stop in the alleyway. I gather the rest of the crew; Poochyena, Stunky, and Trubbish. All done yup nothing left in the alleys we're good to move on to the event Mons... A Wild Purrloin appeared... Nani? I didn't know Purrloin was here. I totally missed it when looking up the WIki, and it never appeared during my search for the other shinies... YOU HAVE A 21% CHANCE OF FINDING IT HOW DID I NEVER SEE IT TILL I WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE. A bit more searching, and done Shiny Purrloin acquired now we're done. It's on to the event Pokémon. First one to bat is Pachirisu being cornered by some hooligans honestly at this point every battle is a curb stomp since my Pokémon are around level 18-20, so every fight is going to be a foregone conclusion. About 58 resets later, and Shiny Pachirisu is in the bag. I make a quick stop to nab myself another Bidoof just a normal one this time quick and simple and speed level it by fighting all the fights I avoid up to this point. Pay some money to a dude in an alley to get out of the way, and next up is Espurr... 428 resets... I actually started to give up. I mean in Sword and Shield I have boxes of shinies but you know its like 1/512 so 1200 Mons after I'm still motivated to keep going, but Reborn's 1/100 can be demoralizing. By the way my Espurr was female so just note that... just something I'd like to point out... Blitzle, Joltik and Tynamo all take swings at my determination with 212, 359, and 520 resets really testing my patients aren't you guys. Fortunately those are the worse of it. Pansear takes a good 145 resets, but not too bad. I totally forgot Woobat and Noibat are around here so I go out of my way to catch them too didn't take long. I secure a shiny Igglybuff from a scared old lady, and I'm not giving it back unless she can tell me what color her Igglybuff was. Surskit, Whismur and Gulpin are caught with just 8, 21, and 32 resets; about time I got easy wins. Teddiursa is no where to be found, and I searched everywhere I just can't find it. I'll end up returning and nabbing it later. Heading into an apartment, Shelly asked me to take a Shiny Kricketot with me on the 13th parallel universe. Lastly it's late at night I'm exhausted from spending nearly 20 hours hunting for shiny Pokémon, and I have one to go. I walk in, and begin trading my Plain, Normal, Non-Shiny Bibarel for Greg's Munna. I get it on second try is what I would like to say. No, my dingus smooth brain hits F12 without even looking, and my subconscious tasers my brain to attention to realize I just reset over a shiny. I would like to give you a number of resets, but no it gets worse I reset not once, not twice, but three times over a shiny Munna. I wanted to go to bed 4 hours ago. I gather my brainpower just long enough to nab the fourth shiny that appears, and head off to bed it's been a long day. Now with everything checked off, and done it's time to progress the plot I post a screenshot to my friends right before I fight Fern, and they remark on what in gods name took me that many hours to get to Fern. It is at this point they realize what I'm doing. Fern doesn't stand a chance six level 20 Pokémon vs his three that are barely out of their teen levels. Quiver Dance Mothim just annihilated him, and I had five more Pokémon that never saw combat. The battles with Team Meteor were pushovers as well at this point my character is jaded the woes and concerns of both my allies and team meteor are but white nose to the cries of a Butterfree coming out of its Pokeball for the twenty thousandth battle in a row. I meet Julia at her gym and Moxie Mightyena sweeps her team. I had Loudred on my team to counter her sonic boom. Pachirisu with Volt Absorb to counter her damage, Kricketune as a back up sweeper, Persian for fake out and revenge killing. None of it mattered Mightyena had it handled. This is a good place to stop for Chapter 2 up next something far worse than what I had to deal with. NOTES: *I'll be taking a bit of time in between post. I essentially devoured Reborn over the course of a month with very little sleep, and a whole lot of shiny hunting. So I just need to spend some time doing other things, and catching up on games I didn't bother touching. *One of the reasons I rushed through the game in one month like this was because I was worried Reborn would be done before I finished the run, and I wanted to finish the run before Chapter 19 came out.

  33. I started drawing Titania a long time ago and finally finished it today Edit, since I didn't want to do another double post (especially within a day) Saki Blakeory from Reju and T3RR4 P13RC3 from Reborn as a Crossover. Since they are both crazy and also technically skilled, would they get along well?

  35. The only thing I didn't liked about the v13 is the item management In fact, that's my MAJOR complaint, Item management in both Reborn and Rejuvenation is just too stingy.. We are already at the point our Pokemons are Lv90 and we STILL can't have access to items like Assault Vest, Black Belt, Flame Orb, Choice Specs, etc.. I was expecting that in v13, since we would finally be able to use megas and z-moves, that we would start having access to these, mostly through the GDC Department Store probably but we just didn't.. So while most characters already have end-game Pokemons with end-game items attached to them we still using Plates..

  36. It wasnt Mosely, it was Cosmia. Mosely did not appear since we finished her questline with lost camp. I actually have a weird theory about that. 2 dead bodies were identified, according to the documents. One was Freya, another one was lord Xenadin, former leader of team Xen. Now we know from Rune that this was a lie since she was Freya. So who was the second person in the report? ...that's right, Xenadin. So one of my working theories is that Huey IS lord Xenadin. Obvious problem is, when he fell into Voidal Chasm with Rune, he was 6 years old. However 1) VC messes around with people memories and with time 2) child prodigies is nothing new in pokemon universe.

  38. So me and many other posters on this site love to constantly bitch and whine about the state of the game. I thought that this overflow of negativity would be discouraging and quite upsetting to the otherwise diligent developers of the game. Therefore, I invite people to post something you LOVE about V13. Feel free to go into as much detail you desire. Personally, I found all the new regional forms to look and work fantastically and has made me want to try all of them out; everything about route 4 was an amazing idea, it gives off a soothing ambience and offers much utility; and the early game rewrites were critical to my enjoyment of future character interactions.

  40. 1. I really, really like the sidequests and mapping/world. It all feels so rich and the love comes right of the page(er... screen). I think the sidequests are by far the most telling in the strengths of Rejuvenation. All of the character sidequests feel personal, and It's really nice to be able to help with the character's growth. They're all done pretty spectacularly, and they all showcase a different range of emotion and tone. The Hidden Library quests kinda feel like a good version of the mysteries in the current game. Karen's a bit annoying in dialogue, but I do like her descent into madness and lapses of clarity. I really adore the Goldenleaf stuff. The environmental story-telling there is top-notch. I just really like that the story details come together with Narcissa and the area through the various parts of the quest. The Goomink quest is super fun and wacky, and again the environmental storytelling is good. I also really like the ANA quest. I know this one is for sure gonna intersect with the Main Story, so juries still out on what happens then, but I really enjoy the progression and insight into Dylan and how his relationship with ANA grows. It's also well paced, it always feels like I'm getting a new piece to the puzzle. I honestly wish most of the story was told environmentally because it's done so well, and clearly leaves room for the characters to shine. 2. The music's really great. I know it's a fangame, and a good bit of the music is more of a curation, but there isn't a bad track. The leitmotifs are used really well and fit the characters. 3. I really like the more down-to-earth moments of the story. Points like comforting Amber and Erin opening up to Melia. There tends to be really good character stuff in these scenes. It makes me not only understand the characters but feel for them. Something like when Erin talks about how she would've killed herself if she didn't meet the crew actually heartfelt. I think these scenes show that Rejuvenation gets characterization. 4. I think the early-game rewrites more or less fixed any flaws that people had with the earlygame. It gets better characterization, things are more clear, characters don't randomly act like assholes, and it flows really well. If the rest of the story were as seamless as this, I don't think I could complain if I wanted to. It's good enough that I'm willing to look past its flaws because of the good parts. I think that's the balance I'm looking for as a whole. Rejuvenation is always gonna have flaws because nothing's ever perfect. If it can get the big things like character and story right, sky's the limit.

  42. @GamulationUnfortunately this pathfinding idea sounds quite complicated for me. At least right now I can't think of a way to even start making that. Maybe I will find a way later but definitely it isn't gonna take a short time. For now though, i revamped the mod, and instead of text, It creates text to speech recordings i made that verbally say what was written in text before. Sadly for now numbers over two digits will be said by mentioning each digit separately instead of saying the actual number, but until i implement more recordings for at least 50 steps ahead (probably tomorrow), I hope this will work for now. This time the file i'm sending is a .rar, containing the mod, which you should extract in the Mods folder as usual, and the recording audio files, which you should extract in \Audio\SE. Distance Gauge.rar

  43. @Gamulation Hello, I may not have enough coding skills to create an object sound depending on distance feature, but I made a mod that will allow you to know by text (I bank on your text reading program to read it correctly) how many steps in any direction there is an obstacle. If the obstacle happens to be an event, like an NPC, item, cut tree, or another interactable object, it will say that it is an Event instead of an Obstacle. How to use this mod: With the Alt key pressed, click on any direction. Instead of moving, a text will appear saying how many steps in that direction there is an obstacle or event. How to install the mod in the game: Create a folder inside the Data folder of the game, and name it Mods. Then dump the mod file into the Mods folder. The mod file is attached in this post. If you need help with anything or have a suggestion regarding this mod that is within my capabilities, let me know. If you are satisfied with it, also let me know, so that I make a proper Thread with this mod in the mod section for other people to use it if they need it. Dem - Distance Gauge.rb

  44. This is a list that shows at a quick look what different Pokemon are available at any given time in game in a monotype run. Each spoiler is a new badge length of the game, including the most readily available member of the evolution line of the Pokemon, and does not mention Pokemon available in previous areas. Italics indicate Pokemon that will evolve into a type. Underline indicates Pokemon that will lose that type by their final evolution (mainly, for collecting, unless you want to use badge 17 Azurill for Normal type) Bold indicates legendary Pokemon **Asterisks** indicate Pokemon who are available by chance or choice earlier in the game, then reliably again later in the game. If you miss a chance or want all options of a choice, follow the asterisks to the second usage. Strikethrough indicates Pokemon which will have a mega-evolution that changes into the target type, such as Sceptile -> Dragon. Whether or not these are legal for your monotype run are up to you. All types that do not feature any new Pokemon will be listed at the bottom of each spoiler tag. Suggested Rules for a Monotype Run: 1. You can only use Pokemon of a single type for all battles. Pokemon that will evolve into a type may be used, but must be evolved by the end of the run. Optional: other typed mons can be used for: HM usage, field transformations for quests, catching Pokemon, 'impossible' boss battles. 2. If you're playing with a type that doesn't have any starters that will evolve into it, you must choose a starter and then ditch it in the PC once you catch your new Pokemon and it is able to put up a fight. Other rules are at your discretion, have fun with it!
