Since Desolation has a lot of content to cover and some of y'all probably know I am working on a 100% guide, thought I might as well make a status thread for anyone who is curious. Like the Rejuv/Deso status threads, I will sometimes post development updates. Sections: #################### | Beginning - Gym 1 (100%) #################### | Post Gym 1 - Gym 2 (100%) #################### | Post Gym 2 - Gym 3 (100%) #################### | Post Gym 3 - Gym 4 (100%) #################### | Post Gym 4 - Gym 5 (0%) #################### | Main Story (0%) #4 points

Hi! I thought I'd give a quick update now that things are starting to tone down a bit. This post will cover some finer points around Patreon, as well as just giving y'all a general update on stuff. This'll be the last update for a while, but it's a good point to just check in regardless. - Patreon - I thought that I would start by discussing my Patreon. This is a really important topic to me, and I'll be discussing why I've started one, why I need it and what its exact purpose is. I will keep this explanation brief, and to the point. It'll be a good ol' heart to heart.2 points

I don't see a bug reporting thread anywhere, so I hope this is the right place. I've done this only once before, so I hope someone can confirm this for me. But to create this infinite Trick room bug, one needs to start a battle where the starting field is a Dimensional Field, and you need to a pokemon (or a pair of pokemon if it is a double battle) that holds magical seed and is capable of transforming the field into the Frozen Dimensional field using some move (in my case I used an avalugg holding magical seed that knows blizzard). What you do then is quit1 point

Yeah, teams of 6 mons is what you can expect from every Gym Leader. If you need to train, go to one of the alleys, you should find mons around lvl 10 or so. Use Speed up button as well. Iirc you can also go to Grand Hall and repeatedly fight trainers there. As for Julia, I know some folks have used Moxie Mightyena to good effect. One thing I like to do is to catch Goldeen with Lightningrod ability. I'd consider ditching Stunky in favor of Trubbish. Trubbish's Toxic Spikes is much more useful as means of dealing passive damage than Stunky's Poison Gas.1 point

Use the upper Peridot alleyway (levels average around 11-12) to beef Kricketune up to the level cap. Would be surprised if at level 20 it still can't survive Oricorio Air Cutter + Electrode Charge Beam given the relatively low levels of Julia's team. This should just clean sweep if it lives those hits. (Can also avoid damage from Oricorio with really lucky Sing hit + good sleep turns) Volt Absorb Pachirisu puts in hella work in this fight, don't underestimate it. It doesn't do much damage but there's next to nothing any of Julia's team can do to it and you can switch in from anothe1 point

You should try levelling up your pachirisu more, he is actually very useful for this fight probably around level 15 will do. As for other pokemon options you could try catching a goldeen with lightning rod. There is a house with a fisherman and if you beat him he will allow you to fish in a pool in his house. You can also find the rod somewhere in the city from another fisherman1 point

General guideline I've been following when doing my Nuzlocke attempts (so these are all "safe" bets) is: Seacrest's garden in Peridot ward from to level 3-8, upper Peridot alleyway from 10-17, onyx ward rooftop from 14-20 (unless I'm grinding for Florinia, since it's the best place to get to 25, but usually trainer's school gives enough exp), beryl cemetary from 20-30 (very safe with Electric or Rock types so you might go to 35 there instead of under the grand stairway), grand stairway from 25-35, and from then on it's more effective to use the rebattleable Grand Hall trainers. If said trainer1 point

I must admit I'm kind of a perfectionist, so I'll always look to get good ivs and ev train the second it's available. I can see why not being fully ev trained makes the game much harder(I just assumed everyone would). The reason reborn, rejuvenation and desolation stand out compared to all the other games are because they add another level of strategy. Just like you said-water sport surskit helped in the gym fight. Water sport is probably the most useless move but with field effects it acts as a niche against the fire gym. Maybe I'm over thinking it, but I like new strategy aspects even i1 point

Yea think of the solo mode like that. Since the game supports 4 players, I'd make it at least 2 player co-op as well. Hah I mean it took me 5 months to configure/build the engine and make the 8 that are already in now. My goal is to have one from each type at least. Also side note, I just started on this guy today:1 point

um so everything will be put under a spoiler tag- but the e5 stuff will be separated from the other stuff just in case! ( the only e5 thing here really is a character that was introduced. not really any plot related drawings with me yet lol ) Ok that was the first box! Now this second spoiler box DOES CONTAIN E5 STUFF. Be warned!! That's it-! For now~~~~1 point

I've updated this guide to be more spoiler-safe for any new players coming here (including you Thamill, if you're reading this). Each sticker will be in its own spoiler section, which will be labeled according to which gym leader fight it is available for. If you're new to the game and want to avoid spoilers, I suggest you don't open them until you're just about to fight the gym leader listed. For example: if you just beat the 2nd gym leader and open the "available before the 3rd gym leader" section, you'll get spoiled on what happens in between those two gym fights. NOTE: Stickers li1 point

Starting ep16 back up save files will now be kept according to the set Options, but existing save files are set to 0 by default. Please check your Options and enable backups! I decided to make this thread pretty much because I realised we don't have a thread in bug reporting that explains how to use these properly and I explain kind of poorly when I explain it in the unstuck me thread, so now I can write this in detail once and for all and just link to the thread. So, person who needs to know how to use a back up save for reasons including save file corruption, encountering th1 point
