Essentially, every character, once they join your party START with a pre-defined team, and they have 1 Pokemon that cannot be removed from the team, no matter what. The other 5 Pokemon that comes with that specific character can be changed out for whatever though. Essentially, this is how every character starts out: Vice = Eevee Marissa = Umbreon, Shinx, Torchic Vivian = Frogadier, Skarmory, Grovyle, Sneasle Krista = Kirlia, Pancham, Skiddo, Nidoqueen Hiro = Dialga, Samurott, Talonflame, Metagross, Zorua (cannot evolve, but has an impressive moveset), Tyrantrum
