[Resolved] Script error keeps occurring as soon as i start the game!!! Help!

I just finished the part where I battle Cain and his new Oshowatt. I do not remember the exact names of the cities because i only recently started playing but i do know it was just above that. A pop up randomly appeared while i was walking that said

Script ' PokemonField' line 1434: NoMethodError occured.

undefined method '[]' for nil:NilClass

I know there are alot of random symbols, but that is exactly what pops up every time i start the game down to the capitol letters. Can someone please help me with what to do?

Anyway, if you go to "more Reply Options" >>, you'll find an option to attach a file. Just attach your save file there and bam.

Considering it's a "NoMethodError", I think this is a missing line of script or file, rather than a problem with your save file. Post your save anyway in case I'm wrong here, but I think you might want to redownload Reborn and try again from there.

Awesome, thank you. Here is my save file. And considering how many times i had to try downloading it just to get it to work the first time i really hope i don't have to again.

So, i just opened your save file and bam... there's nothing wrong with it. Tested it, and it's working normally.

I'm going ahead and agree with Valiant: It's something wrong with the download. I know this is bad, but i suggest you redownload. But use a different mirror this time.

Also, here's your save. But i didn't do anything, so chances are... that it's going to keep giving the error message.

Ok ill give it a try, the mirror i used last time was the one with adfly. Are all 3 proven to be completely safe? Also once i download a new one is there anything i have to do, or can i just run the game and continue playing normally?

As for doing something? Not really, just do the same thing you did when you downloaded episode 13 for the first time.

Amethyst releases the game in chunks called episodes. Each episode goes up until the gym fight. Ie Julia is the end of episode I.

Well i tried redownloading it, but now its not opening my old file. My data is no longer on the game, how do i get it to use my old data with the download??

Could someone please help me, i really dont want to start over.

Whoa, I don't think anyone would have noticed that edit had I not randomly rechecked this topic.

For the save file, it normally should be located in C:\Users\ (Your PC Username) \Saved Games\Pokemon Reborn

I don't know where your old save data might have gone, as redownloading the game shouldn't have deleted it. Either way, it seems you still have your save among your attached files. Just download that and place it where it should be.

Also: Do not rename the save file, it should remain as Game.rxdata

When i try to open the data, a message comes up that says "the data cannot be opened because it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged(for example the file was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

You don't need to open the save file directly, just place it in the aforementioned save folder with the correct name (Game.rxdata), then start up Reborn. It should detect the save.

Yayyyyyy it worked!!! Thank you so much everyone for helping me! Now i read somewhere that it is smart to make multiple saves every once in a while to insure that I don't lose too much of my data in case it gets corrupted. Does anyone know how to do that?

Just physically copy the file and rename it, something like GameBackup.rxdata or whatever you want. When you want to use it, make sure its name is Game.rxdata
