Cifer 0
hey everyone, could it be that tyrunt's rock head ability isn't implemented in the game? I got a tyrunt with strong jaw and after using about 10 ability capsules on it, the ability stayed the same. Then I tried to breed a tyrunt to get rock head, but all i got was a tyrunt with sturdy, which it shouldn't have. Has anyone else seen this?
Raindrop Valkyrie 118
Hidden abilties cannot be obtained by using an Ability Capsule. It can only switch between Normal abilites a Pokemon has. Like for say an Arcanine it could switch between Intimidate and Flash Fire, but you cannot get access to Justified in this manner. The Pokemon just must simply have it already. This is how the Capsule works in X and Y, not just Reborn.
Nova 31
Tyrunt's Hidden Ability is Sturdy, which changes in Rock Head when it evolves. Tyrunt can't have Rock Head, but Tyrantrum can.
Sonikku 37
Hidden abilties cannot be obtained by using an Ability Capsule. Naw son I gave effect spore to my Vileplume with an ability capsule. Besides, y naut have a strong jaw tyrantrum? You can breed elemental fangs from arbok and Strong jaw basically adds stab to all biting moves.
Vinny 27
The ability capsules don't work in a different way than X and Y. But the thing is: HA are as common as normal abilities in Reborn. a.k.a Ability capsules lets you switch between all the 2/3 abilities that a pokemon might have. What i did notice, is that it might take a lot of soft resetting to get the other ability on a pokemon that only has two abilities (e.g. Ditto). Tyrunt falls on this. It only has two abilities, so it might take A LOT of resetting to get the other ability. At least that's how the mechanic is supposed to work in Reborn. If it was changed, i have no idea. Hally 1
I tried soft resetting with the capsule 30x on my tyrunt before I gave up in my dragon monotype. When I simply used 2 capsules in a row, it worked like a charm >.<
TheRockGhost72 0
Mine already had sturdy and than rock head when it evolved.

Lost Lore 12
That happens when a Pokemon only has two abilities. As an example, when attempting to use one on my Espeon, his ability went Synchronize -> Synchronize a few times before he got Magic Bounce. Strange, but perfectly normal, or so I'd assume. If you have three abilities, however, it'll randomly switch to one of them, with no repetition. Or in my experience it has, anyway.
Hally 1
~1/10bil chance to roll the same ability 30x in a row.. I think something else is at work >.> My luck just can't be that bad.
Darkforce35 0
Tyrunt's Hidden Ability is Sturdy, which changes in Rock Head when it evolves. Tyrunt can't have Rock Head, but Tyrantrum can. So you'd need a tyrunt with sturdy to get a tyrantrum with rock head then? Sorry, not a huge Pokemon knowledge here :/
