Dei 0
I made this thing a part of my team specifically so I can see it's golden beauty and sparkles every time I send it out. Now there's neither. The sprite color went to an ugly gray one and there's no sparkles. I really hope this is a mistake. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to post this here or whatever. I'm kinda new...so hello! EDIT: Problem solved, I could just replace it with the old sprite, whew! I'm happy the people who do and don't like the new sprites can both have their ways. Looks like we can all be happy, yay! Sutoratosu 11
this is no bug, this simply means that the Lord Bird Jesus has deemed you unworthy of basking in his magnificence. hello. one thing though, a friendly tip: Screenshots of the sprite as it appears in your save would be helpful for the people who can assist you with this... Dei 0
Lol. Wouldn't it make more sense to depict Bird Jesus as a beautiful golden color rather than a dull gray one, though? Maybe I'm just being too logical on this one. I would take a screenshot, but unfortunately, I can't access the game right now. Somebody's gotta know what I mean, though. I can't be the only one with a shiny Pidgeot, could I? Anyways, I looked in the battlers folder and saw a regular shiny pidgeot sprite. That's why I reported this as a bug, thought it might be a mistake. That's not to mention that I was hoping it was a mistake.
Global Mods Simon 38 Posted July 11, 2014 Global Mods Share Posted July 11, 2014 6SS1G- 1st Gen Shinies was the reason why it was changed from Gold to Black. Personally, I like it. I'm not sure how you still have the regular shiny pidgeot sprite unless you don't have a recent episode. Anyways, if you want that colored Pidgeot, you can replace the current Shiny Sprites with the original ones. Not sure why you're not seeing a sparkle effect though..
Dei 0
See, that's the thing. In the folder, I do see the regular shiny sprite (unless I'm looking in the wrong folder, that's definitely a possibility), but in the game itself, I see it as gray. I would definitely like to change it back! The whole reason behind me training it is because of my long-held dream of catching and training a (legit) shiny Pidgeot after losing my chance to catch one in Leafgreen and this was my chance to uphold that. The gray version kind of ruined that vision for me.
Tacos 205
The feature of this game is also that we have some redesigned shiny sprites. It may be that you are mistaking the normal sprite for the shiny sprite as I don't see any Golden Pidgeots in the files. Nothing much can really be done about that unless you want to replace it with a regular shiny pidgeot sprite you may have found.
Dei 0
I like the idea of replacing some, but replacing the shiny Pidgeot sprite was completely unnecessary. I already looks good and all. I think the ones that should be replaced are the ones that don't fit with the pokemon, or the shinies that don't look very different from the normal forms, such as Kangaskan, Garchomp, and Plusle. Let me redownload it. That might help, let's see.
Global Mods Simon 38 Posted July 11, 2014 Global Mods Share Posted July 11, 2014 Redownloading it won't help since it was only episodes before the Shiny Alterations. You basically you need to have a older episode and replace the current shiny sprites with the older ones.

People have worked incredibly hard on re-spriting these to help make these games unique and what you're saying is quite rude to the people who put in the time and effort to re-sprite these. Re-downloading will only fix problems that may be due to a faulty download, not purposeful things like the sprite re-colorations.
Dei 0
It's great that they worked hard on them, but that one is the only one I've seen so far and I didn't like it, sorry. The sprite is messed up, the color is messed up, and no sparkles. I just think it would be better to focus on ones that need change, really. Again, sorry if it sounded rude, but this sprite just struck me personally because of my deep love for the shiny and I tend to be harsh with my criticism, sometimes. But hey, now that I know that I can change it back personally, there's not much for me to complain about, I guess. Anyways, I just replace the old shiny sprite with the new one, right? Nothing else? EDIT: Never mind, I think I've got it figured out. Just to wait for the extracting now. EDIT2: Ok, I definitely got this figured out. Thank you to everybody who commented helping this lost person out. I saw a few of the new shiny sprites and they look cool! This will probably be the only one I'll replace...well, maybe Venasaur, too. Kudos to the ones who worked on these. Sorry about the harsh comments. :/
Tacos 205
Could you tell us what exactly is messed up about the sprites so something could perhaps be improved with their design? I don't see any flaws so far, but perhaps its different in game?
Gaunt 4
i personally think Pidgeot needed a change, the original shiny version was too similar to the normal one and it didn't "fit" in Reborn imo
Dei 0
I think what they could've done with the Pidgeot sprite is keep the old back sprite and just color it gray, at least. This new back sprite for both shiny and normal Pidgeot look a bit strange. I think it's really the black part around the eye that struck me as strange. Anyways, problem resolved. Anything else I would've had to say is in the 'edit' of the last post and first post I made. Thanks, everyone! ^^
