[Noted] Metagross and Chess Board

Sorry if this has already been reported.

In my fight versus Radomus, I used a Metagross, and it seemed that it was immune to the oppponents' Psychic (the move). My Pokemon was unaffected, as if it was a Dark type. Metagross didn't get damaged by either of the regular type or the rock damage bonus. For clarification, Metagross has Clear Body.

On the other hand, my Gyarados effectively took super-effective damage from Psychic, meaning that the rock damage should work fine.

So I guess it was specific to Metagross? I suspect that it's because Metagross has a regular x0.25 against Psychic, then a x0.5 to Rock. Which the game may have taken for x0.25x0.5 = x0.125 that doesn't exist and rounded it down to x0. But that's my theory.

That is most likely the situation considering in main games we haven't seen a move that could possibly be less than 0.25x.

Not true! Trick or treat and forest's curse allow for this possibility. For instance, a Skarmory under the influence of trick or treat takes 1/8th damage from bug attacks.

This is .. an odd sounding bug, certainly. I'll have to look into it when I'm heading home.

Could be. On a Corrosive field, my Crobat was somehow immune to Bullet Seed.

This too, though I wish I'd known about it sooner :\

The same happened with my Excadrill, it was immune to their psychics. Maybe steel types are immune to the powered up moves on the chess board...

That truly isnt the case. It's the fact that excadrill 1x resists the psychic and 2x resists the rock, so the damage is only x0.125, which is something I don't think was implemented in the game yet.

Yeah, that's going to be right. I had a hell of a time working out the numbers on how to handle extremely not very effective attacks, and i was afraid this would happen. Bleh.
