personmanthing 1
So I tried to follow Nickaboo's guide to update Pokemon Reborn but I failed to say the least...I attempted to send the data to my previous Reborn file so it looked like this After that I game up and tried looking for my save file with the search function to send it to the reborn 12.1 zip but I couldn't find it so I thought it was deleted but my file still runs fine. How can I update now?
Sheep 27
Are you on PC or mac? Either way the download for each new episode is a complete redownload of the updated game. There's actually no need to update at all. Now I don't know much about playing it on a mac but on a PC if you just download 12.1, delete your older copy of the game, and use the new copy without moving your save file at all it should work. That's because the save file is stored in a different place to the game files. You say your save is still loading fine? Chances are then if you just redownload 12.1 and use the icon in that to run the game it'll pick up your save file without your needing to do anything.
Arkhi 199
Looks like he's on PC. I'd rename the current Episode folder you're currently using to something other than Pokemon Reborn. Then, just download the 12.1 release. Also, your save file should be under /Your Name\>Saved Games>Pokemon Reborn.
personmanthing 1
I did what Sheep93 suggested but it caused more problems. I'm Just going to delete everything and start Pokemon Reborn from the very begining
Sheep 27
Huh, well... sorry about that. Before you delete everything maybe someone else can help you?
Administrators Amethyst 2469 Posted June 19, 2014 Administrators Share Posted June 19, 2014 So, from what I can see: At first you tried to merge the new download with your old game folder. That's fine, but what happened instead was you put the new download inside your old game folder. At that point, just delete that convoluted folder, extract the game from a new folder and run it. The save file is stored in a different location, so it should be preserved; no need to start over.
Sheep 27
Well, that's what I thought but he said it didn't work. I dunno, maybe I didn't explain it clearly.
