[Resolved] Secondary Stat Effects of Moves Not Occurring?

Recommended Posts

No, it should happen all the time based on Bulbapedia. Bulldoze will always lower the opponent's speed.

Any chances that the pokemon using these moves has the ability "Sheer Force"? Or that you're fighting something with "Clear Body"?

Or it's just happening all the time?

Good point! I hadn't considered the possibility of those two abilities (heh. that rhymed), but I recall using it against a pokemon that I know shouldn't have either ability.

So wait, did anyone else report this sort of thing too? Or am I the first?

Well, some other moves broke. The good thing is that the secondary effect is not happening, and the move is not broken entirely.

Anyway, let me ask: Were you battling in the wild? Or was it under some field effect?

I don't thin kany field effect should affect that though... Gotta read that Field Effect thing again.

I think that I recall using the move in wild battles and in trainer ones, but not in any field effects.

However, I recently used the move Bubblebeam, and the enemy's speed was lowered. So it might be some specific moves with this problem-- namely Mudslap and Bulldoze for me.

omg a double post sorry .-.

Hmm... i just tested both moves and they're working fine for me... so i'm going to say: Can you go and use those moves again and pay attention to see if they're really broken?

Also: Is anyone else having a problem with Bulldoze or Mud Slap?

The pokemon that I'm using is Trapinch for both moves. So maybe it might be the pokemon, then?

EDIT: Okay, so as it turns out, I'm just a really dumb person. The Trampinch does have Sheer Force, meaning that the stat changes don't occur. I'm so sorry for causing some trouble with this. :x
