GreatNinja 10
Hello members, i'm new here but i've played for a long time reborn. And yeaaaah... I've a big Problem: Today morning i tried to farm money by buying Oran Barrys, trading them for Moomoo Milk and selling them. So, i bought over 500 Oran Berrys, maybe is this the reason of the Corruption? Its a little annoying but i'm very patient :-) Anyhow, i can't open the Game now: When i tried to open it, it say that the Save File is Corrupted, after 1684546478654 Error Messages. Please help me Admins This is my Save File, i think. And sorry for my bad English, i'm German.
gutten_tag 0
lol, and i'm "half german" maybe you're right . the problem maybe you just bought too much item for one slot, so the file might be corrupted. Your method to grind more money is just too slow you know. Pick up team or Pay day Meowth will be much faster. But I hope someone will fix that for you soon Anyway, if you got any problem with this save, i might send you my own save-file as well if you want. My money is less than 10k, but the pokemon team is ABSOLUTE POWER.
Vinny 27
Normally, corrupt errors don't say a lot of error messages. But i might be tripping. Anyway, i'm sorry to say, but corrupt save files can't be helped. There's not a lot to do when you can't open the save file. That's why you should ALWAYS have a backup of your last save file. If something goes wrong with the first one, you have the second one. And i doubt the Oran Berries are the reason for corrupting it. Here's Beba explaining it: Well if the performance of an pc/latptop etc is too low,it could cause to lag in the game-which in the end leads to this. For an example: Between the time of saving script, like 1-5(whatever),it fails to save one event (from a map) and it tries to save it multiple times, everytime failing. If you look the save file with somekind of edit programm (preferably which knows an universal languange, like hexadecimal),you would see the same event the script failed to save, lets say 30 times in a row. Btw a save file can be corrupted even if it fails to save something simple, like a trainer card. If this would happen only randomly, what are the chances of it not to happen in 150+ hours of game time? Sorry mate, but there's nothing we can do. You have to start over :/
GreatNinja 10
Oh damn, this is... bad! Even an Admin (aka Ame) can't fix that? Okay, okay, relax... but i had 7 Stickers on this Save File Has someone the download link of Episode 10? I need it really...
Tempest 38
Couldn't you hand edit the corruptions out of the save file? Also, I have to apologize. This has been a problem, but there isn't much we can do. It's a lesson in the merit of keeping multiple saves I guess.
Jericho 114
Welp, I just took the 30 seconds it takes to set up the backup file for myself just in case.

It's a lesson in the merit of keeping multiple saves I guess. Beba said that it could cause some problems. It's way easier to just restart. Basically, it would f* up future events... Of course that's not the real explanation. I wish i could find the post though. hereafter, i will make a backup File, but how can i do that? (yeah sorry, stupid question) Make a backup of the non corrupt save file. Basically, you copy the save file and save it somewhere. So when you need it, you can always go back and grab it. On your case, you can't do that since your save is already corrupt.

Tempest 38
Well to upload just use the attach files button when you go to "More Reply Options." Although, would you mind making a new topic? Especially if the file isn't corrupt but there seems to be a different issue entirely?

In fact, I can't edit or change a save file at all if it can't be opened in game, which is really unremarkable design to be honest, but that's how RPG Maker XP is, unfortunately (so #done with this program)

Like just edit the PC of the working file to add the lost pokemon? If the working file is at the same point in the story, then it should be like nothing changed. This is theoretically speaking; I don't know if you can edit pokemon, or names and gender. Sounds easy though.
