Taska 21
I'm having a pretty big problem with pokemon reborn. By the way this is on a mac if you didn't read the title. Whenever I bump into anything, my game immediately crashes. Please help! I've had a problem exactly like this in episode 9 and 10 but I don't remember how I overcame it. Anyways, PLEASE HELP! I NEED TO PLAY THIS GAME.
HugAKitten 0
I just played the most recent version through on a Mac last week! In my case I did it in a Windows 7 virtual machine using VMware Fusion 5. The game crashed exactly one time very soon after starting (my first walk from Peridot Station to the Grand Hall), and then never again. What's your setup for attempting to play it (a virtual machine, dual booting, wine)? To my knowledge Mac's aren't supported for this?
Catilena1890 0
The only thing I can suggest is you remove the sound effects folder, labeled ME, and hope that that works. The game was constantly crashing on me when I attempted to heal at the pokemon center or successfully caught a pokemon, and removing that folder stopped the crashing. I am also a Mac user, btw. Administrators Amethyst 2467 Posted May 25, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 25, 2014 You'll need to remove bump.wav at Audio/SE/
Taska 21
Tacps&Flowers I was having problems with the victory jingle you win a battle. I have fixed the problem so no need to worry about it because I deleted the file (I don't remember what file it was in and the file name) Since it seems like you know a **** ton about problems when playing reborn with wine would you happen to know a way to be able to listen to the victory jingle (if you could call it that)? Tacos 205
Alright thanks Ame and Catilena. HugAKitten I use wine to play reborn as to me It's the most efficient way to run windows files. Plus, I haven't heard of any other windows-mac softwares like wine. I've played a few other rpgmaker games like pokemon raptor ex and pokemon zeta and I haven't had the same problem as I've had with Reborn, although I do have problems with their sound files ( as in I can't hear any sound for raptor ex aside from pokemon cries and text scrolling and in zeta I can't hear wild pokemon music). It seems as if you only are early on in the game. To be posting something like this late game would be preposterous so just let me know if you encounter any issues later on with your emulations and I can give you tips considering I've been through almost every problem a wine user could have playing reborn
