[A] Tips for reducing Lag?

I'm running a computer with 8 gigabytes of RAM, and it's running on High Performance. I'm also running the RGSS player at Realtime priority. To speed up the game, I'm using the CheatEngine. However, there's still an immense amount of lag in certain areas. How do I reduce this?

That's... something that i don't know actually. Since there's nothing related to lag in the FAQ, then...

Ame, can you suggest something? Either you or anyone that understands more about lag than i do. So yeah. Ame pls.

I have less ram and my old computer had even less (4 GB) and the game ran rather well (even with battle animations...on the old one). I know the battle animations lag the game like hell and crashes all the time so I doubt that's your problem. You may have a tiny lag transiting from area to area, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I don't know what areas you're having problems with so a couple examples might be helpful to see if it's your computer or just the game. My only real guess is that something is hogging the RAM and not the game. Look at the task manager and make sure it's not 100% on Disk I believe. Everything begins to lag a bit at that point. I know it won't work for Reborn, but what I do for more demanding games (Like PS2...I use the actual discs so don't get on to me) is use Razor Game Booster which does reduce lag quite a bit.

I actually only use between 16% and 40% of my disk space. But, if I close programs, I still get lag. Is there a way for me to increase the RAM allocated to RGSS Player so that it will go faster?
