dragon-in-night 0
I'm trying to get a Karrablast have mega horn so I put an Escavalier (trade with a boy in spinel town) and a heracross in daycare, but the daycare man said they prefer to play with other pokemon, so I switch the Escavalier with a Karrablast. The daycare man keep saying the same.
Sheep 27
I don't think you'll be able to get an escavalier with megahorn unfortunately, to evolve it you'll need to trade it away. Then you can't get it back to use it. The only way to actually get a usable escavalier is to get it off the guy in Spinel Town, and of course if you do it that way you can't breed any moves onto it. So basically even if you bred megahorn onto a karrablast, as far as I know you can't get it onto an escavalier. Edit: This part's directed at anyone in the know about the coding of the game. Do you think to get around this issue it would be possible to create some sort of item which allows shelmet/karrablast to evolve through linkstone when held by them? Would be nice to have access to breeding moves on these guys.
dragon-in-night 0
Actually, you can use link stone to evolve karrablast, I have checked.
Sheep 27
Whoa for real? In that case put a male heracross that knows megahorn into daycare with a female karrablast/escavalier. The result will be a karrablast with megahorn. Ignore the daycare man's message. You'll get an egg eventually.
dragon-in-night 0
I think what the daycare man say does matter, I did some side quests, go hunt heart scale, still not egg.
Beba 0
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_breeding "The two don't really seem to like each other very much" = 19.8% (39.3% with oval charm) If it says: "The two prefer to play with other Pokémon more than with each other'" = 0% (check their genders, has to be different not the same)
dragon-in-night 0
But they have same egg group, different gender. Why do they refuse to lay egg?
Sheep 27
They should be producing eggs. If you're sure they're different genders then the only thing I can think of is that this is a glitch.
Beba 0
But they have same egg group, different gender. Why do they refuse to lay egg? Then the egg group is assinged wrong to some pokemons.Just tested a Scolipede with a Escavalier, didnt work.
Arkhi 199
I'm not sure breeding is too good in Reborn. If you check the script for the moves, egg moves are implemented, but breeding itself is a tricky bit of business.
Beba 0
The scripts are fine and they work.(Inheriting Moves=Initial Moves(also moves from mother & father)+Egg Moves(compatibility)+Machine Moves(Thats TM,from father)+Natural Moves+Volt Tackle(for Pichu,if mother Pikachu/Raichu has a lightball+Male Pikachu/Raichu has a lightball).Any duplicate moves are removed) The problem in this topic is: Egg Moves(compatibility). For Bug egg group its 3,3 (if it has any other egg group, its 3,x -where x is the number of that other egg group) Ame/Tempest can edit those Pokemon who have their Egg Moves(compatibility) set to the wrong number. Tempest 38
Vinny can as well. Since I haven't managed to break that file while I was messing with the game, I'll double check Escalvalier and Karrablast since those seem to be the problem. Any others I should check on?

Well those are two pokemon (and their evolution) that we know they arent compatible with the other Bug Pokes.Heracross+Scolipede they are compatible with each other. If they are any other, the breeders will surely find about it.
