[Confirmed]Protean glitch

Hellooooo guys, Dashie here with a minor glitch :x

Protean seems to not fully function on Greninja.

It works fine if you use a move that isn't Greninja's main type to make it a pure type; ie: Grass Knot makes you pure Grass

The glitch is that if you use a Water move (and I'm assuming Dark as well), Greninja doesn't change into its pure type.

I've used Water Pulse against the Pokémon Don, Pangoro and it didn't give me the message Greninja turned into a pure Water-type, instead, the Pangoro hit me with a Circle Throw and it was super effective on Greninja.

However, if you use a different move that isn't Greninja's initial typing, like Grass Knot or Round, then proceed to use a type move that is actually Greninja's Water/Dark type, you will turn into the pure type of said move.

Sounds confusing, but yeah. It's a tiny glitch that kindaaaa puts you at a disadvantage.

i knew about this but didn't even know it was a glitch, thought it was supposed to be that way. Nice catch.
