Luvdisc not carrying Heart Scales anymore?

I've been trying to farm heart scales using thief on the luvdiscs at Tanzan Cove, but not a SINGLE ONE has dropped a heart scale. I don't have an item on my Kecleon, and I caught about eight of them, all with no items. Is the rate of having a heart scale not 50% on luvdiscs? What's up with that?

I'm also leading with Noivern + Frisk to see if I'm missing anything on that end, either. Nope. It just looks like luvdisc doesn't carry heart scales anymore. What's up with that?

Probably just a case of bad luck, keep trying.

If it's really bad luck, it would be one or two heart scales out of the twenty luvdiscs I've found so far.

Ame reduced the chances of finding a Luvdisc with a Heat Scale. I think it's like 5-15% now..... before it was like 30-50%...?

Wait....are you using thief...its description states that it actually steals the opponents status or something....not the held item...i assume....if you have linoone or eevee....try covet....thats garranteed to steal held items

Thief deals damage as well as stealing the foes held item as long as the user does not have a held item.

Has anyone actually been able to obtain a heart scale from a luvdisc in episode 11? I've tried for hours with no success. I've used compound eyes venonat to increase the held item chance and tried various abilities-covet, thief and switcheroo

I haven't personally but I'm 99% sure it can be done and that there are others who have. Like Shushup said, the chance of finding one has been reduced to around 5% The only thing you can do is keep looking. Or give up and go smash rocks I guess. I wouldn't recommend that though 'cause rocks are a valuable resource.

I might just download Episode 10 and use my save file just to get some scales, lol. That seems like the best course of action since Ame isn't having any part of making this game just a little bit easier for us.

Heart Scale rate was massively nerfed because it was too easy to get them. It's somewhere between 5% and 20%. It's still in your best interest to keep using the same method you're using right now because Mining can yield far more valuable items, like evolution stones and colored shards. :x

if you want to build a perfect team like me, the only thing you care is IVs, so basically you'll need A LOT OF heart scales. trust me, i used over 100 heart scales by changing nature and relearn moves for my team. now my team got >50 pokemons with very good IVs (of course there is no way you can get 31 IVs on all pkm) AND the best nature AND moveset they can get. but only >30 pkms that i trained them to max 510 EVs. so----> keep fishing it. mining can only work if you need 3-5 heart scales, not for >100 of them

EDIT: for 1 hour i usually can get 2-3 heart scales. so don't worry, it'll come to you someday :v
