MFC71.DLL Missing Error

Hi there, ive installed and played this game many times on different computers. This is the first time ive tried to play it on my new desktop and when i try to launch the game im met with the error message

"The program can't start because MFC71.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this program."

If i close the box the game continues to play as normal besides the tab occasionally popping up but after the starting dialogue the game will crash.

Ive tried reinstalling the game several times to using Google to help me with the problem but to no avail.

Im also pretty sure that the problem is within the game itself as all of my other games and programs are working without a problem. Sorry if you've answered this question already but like i said i'vetried to use google to find the answer and ive searched your forums too.

I downloaded that despite the help page's advice and still i get the same problem.

As you might have gathered by searching the forums, this isn't a familiar error.

After a quick google of my own: Do you still get this error when you run the game in "full screen" mode? Alt+Enter while in-game to switch to that.

I just tried running the game in fullscreen there, as far as i can see no issues when running the game fullscreen.

Unfortunately if i come out of fullscreen i am still met with the same errors.

Which is a general issue with RPG Maker, I suppose. Following the suggestions in that topic, it looks like they were able to fix it. Can you emulate those?

I have emulated everything the person did to fix the problem and still no dice

While it is annoying I'm content with constantly playing the game in fullscreen and I've already started another play through of this fantastic game.

Unless you have any other breakthroughs don't worry about me i can make do.

Ame thanks for all you do for this game though, its honestly one of the best fan games I've ever played and your determination to improve the game and fix problems within it is admirable. Keep doing what you do.
