Game Closes

So I downloaded the game and extracted it to a folder on my Desktop, but whenever I double click the Game executable file, the window pops up, and closes a couple seconds later, having a black screen on it the whole time. I've tried many things, changing the location of the folder, running the game as Administrator, changing the Compatibility settings, re-extracting a couple of times. Can't really find a solution to this, anyone know what might be causing it?

What are the specs on your PC? It'd help us diagnose the problem better.

By the look of it the (1.85 GB usable) is the problem. While your DO have 2 GB of RAM the game needs 2 GB alone to run, only 1.85 GB is available for you to use to run anything. The only solution would be to purchase some more RAM.

Looking at the specs alone it looks like you're running on a laptop. Fortunately, the RAM is the easiest bit to upgrade on a laptop(imo). If you're not sure how to do it yourself I'd ask the Geek Squad at BestBuy or a computer tech professional to help you out.

I don't think the RAM has anything to do with it (maybe it does? But computers with less RAM have been able to run the game). This is an issue that happens on seemingly random machines without apparent reason. My best advice for now, unfortunately, is to play it on a different computer if at all possible.

Thank you for your replies. Unfortunately, I only have this computer, so I'll just stick to the Nintendo made Pokemon games for now.
