New Game Problems

I cannot get past the point of picking my first pokemon.

Every single time, the game loads fine. I make a new character (I tried both boy and girl). I go to that one place where you're supposed to pick a pokemon. I pick one, then i go back downstairs and then I talk to that one girl who says something about "Hey you're cute". Then, the game just stops. It doesn't necessarily freeze because I can still open the menu and even save, but I can't move at all and nothing else happens.

I tried making a new game like 20 times, tried picking random starter pokemon that I didn't even want just to see if I can get past that part, and even redownloaded the game about 5 times. Please help.

This happened to me the first time as well. What type of computer are you using?

@ Yagami-- does that imply it only happened the first time? How did you get around it?

@ SixStar-- Sorry about this, though this is the first time I'm hearing about this error so that's strange. I assume you're saved upstairs, right? Could you PM me your save file so I can see if I can reproduce the issue?

Just incase you need one where I actually save upstairs, i restarted my game and saved there.

Just like the last upload, once I go downstairs and talk to that one girl I can't go any further.

The upstairs one is definitely the one necessary, so thanks.

Unfortunately, I loaded it up to test and it's... working just fine for me.

As such my initial advice would be to re-download-- but you've already done that. Pray tell, did you use the same mirror each time? I wonder if one of them could have a problem.

Alternatively, perhaps Noir will have some advice on how he was able to solve this...

I used mirror 2 the whole time because the other mirrors don't work for me.

Edit: Every single time i try to use Mirror 1, when i click the download button it goes to this:

And every single time i try to use mirror 3, i click on what i think is the download button on the bottom left and nothing happens:

If someone could kindly upload an actual working easily downloadable mirror for me i'd be so happy

The first one is unsurprising since it's only available in some countries. Rapidshare though, tsk, tsk, it keeps doing that, not sure if it's the same deal as the first one or what.

So it's worth a try just in case? Maybe? At the least, it'll confirm that it isn't a specific download that's broken.

^^ Yeah, the mirror on your monkeypro website works just fine and the problem is resolved. Something is just wrong with your mirror 2. Thank you for the assistance.

Edit: WTF... I get like 2 more minutes into the game, then it does the same thing...

Loading that save file doesn't tell me much since it wants to restart the cutscene-- after what line exactly is it doing it now? This is getting weird. Other users don't seem to be having these problems...
