Incompatible Marshal file format?

Trauma

Recommended Posts

I saved my game then turned off my computer to bring it back to my house after leaving my friend's and I go to open the game and it says:

{TypeError, "incompatible marshal file format(Can't be read)\n\tformat version 4.8 required; 0.0 given"

I hit Okay and then it says: [EOFError, "End of file reached" , {"Section058:2069: in 'oldload'"/

Then the game loads after that I start and says the end of file reached error again and says my save file is corrupt or is incompatible with this game.

Then i say no to deleting and starting anew and it says:
Script 'PokemonLoad' line 291: RuntimeError occurred.

scss error - Corrupted or incompatible save file.

Then closes the game

I know that much might not be able to be done here..

Please help!

Thanks!

So as far as I can tell, it maybe didn't finish saving?

Did you happen to be using the Quick Save feature implemented with E11? I don't know of any issues with it yet but something like this is possible perhaps.

Regardless, you're correct. There's pretty much nothing I can do for a save if it can't at least be loaded.

I'm pretty sure it finished saving and all I did was pause the game and go down to save. I saved it the night before and it opened fine yesterday but then when i took it home and tried again last night it did that. So maybe i did use the quick save feature but i don't think i did. Maybe after i saved i shut down computer without closing the application so that might have corrupted it but i'm not sure... Oh well looks like i'll just start over!
