Lag problem

Hello, I am running a windows 8 PC that can run other games like League of legends at 60 fps, but my Pokemon reborn game lags when I am running around in the first town. I think it could be the weather effects causing this. Either way, please, if anyone knows a fix, I would be glad to hear it. :)

I'm noticing that the lag is still pretty bad even after the 9.5 update-- I think it got worse between 9.5, somehow. I've been thinking of what else I can do to combat it, but so far my only idea of any real merit is to break up the city with dividers (like they have between every route and city in the original games). I really kind of dislike those though because I feel like they stifle the flow of the overworld (then again....... so does lag.) It contradicts the drawn-map's design pretty clearly, and also I feel like there are a lot of cool visual compounds that are going to be missed out on by doing that (i.e, being able to see peridot from lapis, and such-- missing that makes the city feel much more fake.)

As you can see, I'm hesitant to do this, but... I'm not sure what other solution there is.

Don't break up the city, I would gladly take a bit of lag to make it seem more realistic and flown together so nicely imo. It's not like the whole game is gonna be at the city so I don't really have a problem with what we got now, I get no lag in the other areas at least for me.

The problem is: Not everyone can handle lag. On my computer, it barely lags in the city. But in another PC, the lag can be too much. Just like you, i can "take lag" to keep the city realistic, but some people don't want lag at all (Which could be done, but it comes with a price...)

I understand that everybody is not going to agree with me, but after playing for like 2 months you kinda of get used to the lag and understand it is going to happen because RMXP can barley handle such big maps as this and it would just break the feel by so much by having imaginary walkways the teleport you to the other map. It makes the ward feel like separate towns instead of one big city ruins it. However to make everyone happy just make two separate downloads like back with the static/animated sprites, however this time one with the maps apart another without would be a good compromise everyone wins people who want the city connected download the first one, people who don't want lag download the second one. Would be a win-win ideal cept for the side effects of hosting a lot of downloads.

That could be a solution after I finish the game, but... I don't want to have update two separate map files in two projects every episode. That's going to slow me down a lot...

We can deal with the lag for now. I mean, if episode 11 is going to get released in late 2017, two separate map files would come out in 2087,and i'm being optimistic.
