HP was a float: {1}

I don't know, just pressed Z repeatedly and I could continue my game, but this message was strange.

Screenie: http://vvcap.net/db/ogzyrMdJAcBzhTMA5Von.htp

It appeared when a Youngster's Sentret tackled me.

And, a bit of Off Topic, why are all the trainers now black?

EDIT: The battle ended and then my game froze, so yeah, it's a game breaking bug.

Yeah, same here. It was from a trainer's Skorupi's Bug Bite to my Zubat. It went on for a few seconds, the battle proceeded normally, but when it ended, the game froze, by which I mean no keys worked. Did you download that new scripts file that Ame recently released to deal with the HP bar glitch? I don't know much about this, but considering that I got this message recently, but never before getting the file, they may be related.

And by the trainers being black, do you mean dark skin or literally appearing black? If you meant skin, Ame explained why in this post, and you should still be able to choose the original protagonists. You can also switch in the top left corner in the grand hall by talking to somebody. If you meant that trainers are literally appearing black, then something unzipped wrong or something.

Yes, I downloaded the 10.5 about 3/4 hours ago and also the script for the HP Bar bug.

Just for Ame to know, this happened to me again, this time when I was battling a trainer's Ekans and it used Poison Sting, so it's safe to asume that the HP bar bug wasn't fixed and now it give us that text when the damage needs to be rounded, and now crash the game AFTER the battle?

I got this bug a second time and something interesting happened: first of all, I should clarify that after the message appeared, the battle could actually continue normally. The only problem is that you can't see your options, though you can see the sprites of the moves during the battle. It seems like the message went away right after I knocked the opposing pokemon scratch that, it seems to just end whenever. Anyway, the weird thing was that while I was dreading the game freezing when I was done, it didn't. I'm not sure if this is related, but my Zubat evolved after the battle and it didn't freeze. Of course, I've only had this bug twice, so that could be completely unrelated, but it's just something that I noticed.

EDIT: Got the bug another time, and while my thought about the message disappearing after knocking out the opposing pokemon turned out false, it happened again and froze. No pokemon evolved this time, so there may be a connection.

Got the error about... 36 or 38 times, dunno, I have a doubt if two of them was this or if I clossed the game.

Never got an evolution, so I don't know, but thos 3X times the bug happened to me the game froze after the end of the battle, didn't matter if my pokémon was knock out or if it leveled...

Also, the text seems to dissapear when you get experience, at least in my case.

My Game froze two wayz the first way the enemy pokemon's hp was flashing "still green" and the second was hp float both times I was playing custom pok'e gear music. after i put it back in default i've been in 3 battle and no glitch. :D

Not in my case, I always used the default music and I had to suffer the glitch... a lot.

I sincerely doubt this is a problem that a patch will fix. Most likely, Ame will have to go through all the battle coding and rewrite things so that every possible scenario that could bring about the float is circumvented. Probably, it will involve the battle calculations rounding up, even if the closest calculation is rounding down, IE 12.02 damage becomes 13 damage. Mind you, I have no actual experience coding, but someone I know of had a similar problem with their game back in '05 (was not pokemon, but it had an HP system that relied on whole numbers without decimals. I think he was basing it on Final Fantasy? I believe it was a flash game on Newgrounds) and posted that as a quick fix. I only found the game after all the serious bugs had already been fixed, though, so I don't know if that actually solved anything. I have no idea why something this relevant escaped me until just now.

Maybe in the late game this is less noticiable, but it is a pain to grind in the start, because mostly all those weak Poison Sting, Bind and resisted 50 or less BP moves will trigger this glitch.

Maybe even an unfair rounding is a solution, but I think that reseting my game every 2 minutes because of this is a lot more boring, and take the fun off the game, and that rounding wouldn't be THAT noticiable.

Challenge accepted.

The truth is, the float problem was already fixed even in this version of the scripts. However the debug messages involved in fixing it were being called wrong and that caused different problems.

In the file below, these messages are removed. And unlike the other one, I actually had time to test this one.

Also, the file below contains an adjustment to HP bars that will cause them to run faster at higher levels in the game

A lot of battles later and still no bug. Seems fine now. Also:

I love that little feature ^^

I think you might have a download that isn't downloaded properly. I've not heard of the last issue you've mentioned at all, nor have I seen it for myself o_O, think you could show a screenie or summet? I think your biggest issue is the fact that your problems are script-based, I had the top two before I downloaded Ame's script zip o3o
