Running/Walking reversed

I was just grinding by Vanhanen Castle, and after one of my Pokemon fainted, I went to heal it at the Pokemon healing station inside the castle. It lagged a little on entering the castle when i was holding sprint and running, and after i finished healing my Pokemon, I noticed that my character was sprinting without me holding shift.

The weirder part is that when I hold shift my character walks normally, Shift now makes me walk apparently. Like an idiot, i saved after this weird switch occurred because I didn't want to lose the levels I had been grinding. I have tried leaving to different areas, exiting the game, and even using the bike, none of which have helped. I also doubled checked to make sure both of my shift buttons weren't stuck, which they aren't. Is it possible to change controls of the game, or mess with the game files to try to fix this?

I wouldn't normally care since I sprint mostly in the game anyways, but its just begun to annoy me.
