metalgearbox 0 Posted November 30, 2013 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Sooooo: I'm in the Tanzan Cove and decide to save before training my low level Pokemanz for the Serra battle. Now everytime I load up the game this message comes up: Script 'PokemonLoad' Line 484: NoMethodError Occured undefined method 'updateMap' for nil:NilClass I tried redownloading the game reinstalling, and all that bunch...didnt work. I looked through all the files and nothing seems to have been deleted. I really don't wanna restart but it seems like this is the next logical step. I'm scared senpai. MY BLAZIKEN HAD SPEED BOOST. Regardless, you can try sending me your save file, and we can see if I can do anything about it. I just finished the 2nd gym leader and tried loading an outdoor save for the first time. Every other time I saved in a PokeCenter. Attached is my save file. Thanks! Honestly, except for updating between 9 and 9.5 saving outside should never make a difference. Ironic, then, that the one time you tried, this happened. This is definitely save-file linked; I also can't open it, which also, unfortunately, means there's not really anything I can do to fix the data. Looking at the code for the error, that's a function that's very obviously working properly normally otherwise the game wouldn't be loadable at all-- so obviously something didn't save into the data that it needed. Sometimes I hate how unreliable the game's coding is... Sorry. We effectively have to consider this a corrupted save file. Link to post Share on other sites
