Save File Error: Location Error!

So my save file is saying it can no longer load because of an error. In the current build it says " The map is corrupt. The game cannot continue." To try and see if its due to the current build I loaded up older versions of the game and got errors such as "Script 'PokemonLoad' line 484: NoMethodError occured. undefined method 'updateMap' for nil:NilClas" I was shocked to see that the method "updateMap" which is probably the map for the patch in version 9.5, was not defined in the code, but since thats as far as my knowledge of programming goes at the moment, that's all I can say. NOTE: This only occurs with this one saved file, which I have attached. Which means it probably has something to do with the area in which I saved, which I believe is under the railway, where the aron spawn.

I'm guessing the easiest fix is to move my character within the code but I don't know how so could somebody please fix this. The save file in question is attached to this post.

Once the save file gets to the point that it can't be opened, there's not really anything I or anyone else can do... Because the only method I have to alter save files is by being able to load them.

This happens to people independently of the 9-10 update, but I haven't been able to identify any pattern. Anyway, the Aron area nor the Railnet as a whole should not have been affected by the update.

Let me try loading it, just in case.

Well, it says you saved in the Spinel Pokecenter, so that's not the railnet, but either way it shouldn't have been a problem. I get the same error you report about the PokemonLoad thing. updateMap has nothing to do with updating the versions, it's just how the program loads maps at all.

This generally happens when there's an issue saving before hand- was anything strange or did it not save completely?

I can't tell you it's been so long, but it was fine the last time I played with it, which was in the 9.5 version, though I might have created a save error the last time I saved. I can't remember to tell you the truth. It's no big problem if it's not recoverable though. Just wanted to know if it could be brought back.

No problem. It just gets me to play through the game again. Time to change starters.
