funnybot152 0
So I downloaded this game after hearing about it from a lot of friends, and was looking forward to playing it. Unfortunately as soon as I downloaded and started it up, the game went to a black screen, and then immediately closed. I downloaded this in each of the four mirrors provided and came up with the same result every time. My computer is fairly up to date as well (only 1 year old), so I'm not sure what the problem could be, any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Brosb4Ho-Oh's 0
Try sending a message to Amethyst (creator of the game) and she should to be able to help you. As far as my experience goes if you are not running episode 9.5 and have a fairly good up to date computer start-up shouldn't be an issue.
Administrators Amethyst 2466 Posted September 8, 2013 Administrators Share Posted September 8, 2013 I'm afraid I won't be able to help with this, and it isn't a 9.5 issue. It's a problem with how your computer handles any program from RMXP, which is not something I've identified the cause of yet. It only happens on certain computers, and we also haven't been able to discern a pattern between those. The easiest option is to try and run the game on a different computer. If that isn't available to you, then we can look at some other things that may or may not have any impact. For instance, you could try downloading RMXP and running the game through that. Linux 1
My look on it is, the Intel Graphics, on my old Laptop and Desktop, i have had trouble playing many games, problems from fuzzy images, visual defects and just not starting at all (black screen). However, some steps that *may* help or solve the problem: Automatic updates - ensure you are up to date. Visual C, .Net update, DirectX Does any message show when you start the game? Trying running as Admin, also in XP compat mode. Best of luck.
