Killjoy 0
I've started getting this crash and error when soft reseting, as well as the game being a lot slower when starting up. Not sure what has caused this to start happening.
Scy Guy 3
I get the exact same error on Windows with the game-z.exe, version 18.4.2. My OpenGL version is 4.3, so that should be fine. On game.exe soft resetting works and on game-z.exe everything runs fine except the soft reset. I can't tell when the error was introduced because today I started playing the first time in 3 years, hehe. Error message, so people can google it: Script 'Settings' line 97: Errno::EBADF occured. Bad file descriptor

Global Mods Starry Knight 753 Posted July 18 Global Mods Share Posted July 18 err try unzipping again?
Scy Guy 3
Tried again with 7-zip 19.00 and command line GNU UnZip 6.0.0. Both reproduced the error. Interesting: I downloaded "Reborn 18.4 4 Fruits.zip" from Mirror 1 on Mac and unpacked it with the same GNU UnZip. Executing and soft resetting worked. But the file on Mirror 4 was named "Reborn 18.4.2 4 Fruits.zip" and executing the unpacked file produces this error report: Process: mkxp-z [96086] Path: /private/var/folders/*/Pokemon Reborn.app/Contents/MacOS/mkxp-z Identifier: com.reborn.mkxpz Version: 1.3.0 (0) Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: ??? Scy Guy 3
I found another similar error. When going to "Other Save Files" in the main menu and selecting my only save file there, I get: Quote Script 'PBAbilities' line 17: Errno::EBADF occured. Bad file descriptor A difference to the soft resetting error is that the screen border, if active both currently and in the save file about to load, does not turn black. If currently deactivated, I get the transitioned state shown below. So the save file appears to partially load before the error occurs. Administrators andracass 1148 Posted July 19 Administrators Share Posted July 19 update: the soft reset fix was easier than i expected so it'll be out today. the exception is this: 22 hours ago, Scy Guy said: nteresting: I downloaded "Reborn 18.4 4 Fruits.zip" from Mirror 1 on Mac and unpacked it with the same GNU UnZip. Executing and soft resetting worked. But the file on Mirror 4 was named "Reborn 18.4.2 4 Fruits.zip" and executing the unpacked file produces this error report: this might take a little bit longer to fix... Cool. Thanks so much. Can you share what the issue was? Being a developer I like to know these things. Debugging is fun.

Debugging is fun. the updated exe yeets a whole bunch of errors when you f12 since most variables still exist and the sheer quantity of variables just breaks it.
