Many issues within the battling/ and type match up systems

This has been a lingering problem throughout the entire time I've been playing this game. The first occurrence and issue I came across was when I was battling just a random battle with a trainer, and as soon as the trainers pokemon was defeated I didn't gain ANY Exp points at all, then it went to immediately into the second pokemon if they had one I thought this was just once but, it happened a second, third, and a one hundredth time and it's really annoying considering Exp Points is the basic thing needed to level up any pokemon. A second issue I had with the game is moves I came across with such as Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rock. Both had a different problem for example Toxic Spikes wouldn't poison the pokemon that was trainer sent out. Stealth Rock would cause a looping bug where it would ask me if I would want to switch to a different pokemon since the trainer was going to send out so and so, then it would ask me again, then the trainer would be sending out a different pokemon and the endless switching would last for most of the time a good 10 minutes. The third issue I'm having with the game, is with type matchups.. for example I was battling a Machoke with my Pidgeot. Pidgeot is a Flying/Normal type, while Machoke is a fighting so, the damage taken should just be normal damage. well according to the game Machoke used Vital Throw, and Cross Chop was with somehow Super Effective against my Pidgeot killing it in 2 hits, and when I battled the trainer a second time it happened again, third time must be a charm when I finally knocked him out with a one hit KO. I really would appreciate it if I could get some help/suggestions with these issues

Thank you.

Okay the Exp Point Bug has nothing to do with this " Aftermath " Ability seeing how its 7/10 of the pokemon that I battle this happens with. and even so with Stealth Rock that still leaves Toxic Spikes, and the remaining type match up issue.

Aftermath isn't the only cause of EXP issues but we don't know the others. In any case, I've not heard it reported so frequently as you do, so it's difficult for me to validate that.

With Toxic Spikes, remember there is a larger population of Pokemon that it doesn't effect- Steel, Poison, Flying types and Pokemon with Levitate. What Pokemon did you notice was unaffected?

With Machoke and your Pidgeot- Were you using Roost? As that removes Flying type status, and there have been no other issues with type effectiveness.

With Toxic Spikes it happened when I switched to Blaziken, Gigalith, and Gardevoir.

Thanks for the clear up with the move " Roost " as i didn't know that lol, i'll be sure to use to more wisely now.

As the Exp problem is still a issue when I play the game i noticed that when I hold down the enter button to skip the " It's super effective " or " Machoke Fainted "

the Exp will be skipped as well and it will automatically enter in the second pokemon. This also occurred without me holding down the enter button so, I'm back to being confused again lol

Well, it's possible that the toxic spikes thing might have been fixed along with stealth rocks in the patch I got after 9.5 so when 10 comes out we'll have to reverify that

The holding the key down is an interesting insight- I wonder, when we see it skip the EXP, what if it only skips displaying it but still adds to the total?

I played for awhile and tried to see if after the battle the EXP. would still be added if I had first held down the enter button, it did skip as normal and at the end of the battle no EXP. was gained so, even after skipping the text, the EXP. is still missing ( Skipped ) as well. I tried the theory as the enter button was the only conclusion i could gather since it only happened when I did that. Now that I don't hold down the Enter button it plays normal without skipping EXP. so, Hopefully that helps you Ame with a Conclusion of your own.
