going back to old version

Not entirely sure that this topic fits here but I'm unsure where else to put it so I'm sorry if this is not the appropriate section to ask this. So in previous versions of the game you could get a life orb early by sequence breaking in the mountain on route one. That sequence break was patched in 18.2, but I still have 18.1 on my computer, if I go back to the previous version I should hypothetically be able to do the sequence break again. But would doing so mess anything up with the 18.3 version of the game, I can't imagine it would but I want to double check if anyone else knows before I try it.

It theoretically shouldn't but RPG maker has a mind of its own

As for glitches get a Pokemon with a move to stalk the opponents item, return it then recycle the item also works

What Starry is referring to is the 

Spoiler

Thief-> Fling-> Recycle

method.

 

I had the same question you did about a month ago and someone was kind enough to explain it:

Spoiler

First you need one of these:

Simisage, Simisear or Simipour

And then teach it the moves thief, fling and recycle.

After that, in battle first use thief then use fling and then use recycle.

Make sure that the user doesn't have any held items before the battle and that the user does not repeat the process twice in the same battle.

Indra the clown at Agate circus has a lot of pokemon that carry a life orb so your best bet is stealing some from him.

There's alot of pokemon that can do it like munchlax
ANything that has something that can take the item and return along with recycle works the monkey's are just the best ones to do so as you can get them early game
