Will do! How long do you think it'll take before a stable 18.3 version will be released?

that's a good question! we don't really know what issues are still out there, so this could be fine as a main release- this just isn't as tested as we'd like it to be

Hello! I get this error when trying to run Game.exe in the 18.3 folder. My game loads perfectly if I still use the 18.2 Game.exe. The game-z.exe prompts a GL error as well. What do you think I can do? Thx in advance.

ooooh, okay.

so grab this and replace the JSON you have with it: mkxp.json

what CPU/GPU do you have?

The same error still pops up after replacing it. I have an Intel B960 2.2Ghz

Thanks a ton for the new version Cass and team!

I'm just showin' up to say that the Mega download link seems to be missing the decryption key part, so we can't download dem new version from there. I'll be editing this whenever I come across with any errors while playing it!

the mega link has been updated to a.) work and b.) not give that MKXP fix error.

the local link is also being updated, but that'll take.... 12 more minutes or so before the link is active.

Thanks! The normal launcher now works perfectly, and the speed in animations is so noticeable. However, I still get this error when launching Game-z.exe. It says: "The task was completed succesfully" in Spanish right at the end. Im guessing it has to do with OpenGL, but I do not know what to do to solve it. Any help is appreciated.

The good: OMG battles and using the bag are so much faster, it's amazing! Thank you so much. The bag in particular is a tremendous improvement, probably ~3x faster for me.

The bad: Rain causes much more of a performance drop with Game-z.exe than Game.exe.

The question: How do you toggle sound effects now, with the new F1 menu?

Edit: I don't use it normally anyways, but the Screen Border option doesn't seem to work, and neither does the "Full" option (Alt-Enter still works though).

Edit2: Specifically, rain in Lower Peridot is very stuttery; not as bad in Opal.

Edit the 3rd: My bad, not caused by rain, just poor performance in Peridot. Dragon's Den and Calcenon as well.

When sped-up, some full-screen graphics like from Aurora Veil, Earthquake, or Mega Evolution are artifacted.

Update: The json fix was implemented but the error is still there.

so, doing some research into your GPUs, it looks like you don't have the openGL version needed for this 😕

[AI inaction error]
Battle: Titania
Description: Scizor comes on +3 Alolaslash, goes mega and SworDances, it eats Iron tail and gets its defense lowered,  then bullet punches and kills alolaslash.   My Lapras comes in, gets +1 defense by Shell Armor,  and can do anything it wants because Scizor does nothing.

AI issues are probably unrelated to 18.3 and just a Thing In The Game. still a valid bug, but probably better served in battle errors in the future.
since we're here, did your lapras happen to have a berry?

Love how smooth battles are now. Might start playing with animations!

And going around in an area is super smooth on Game-z.exe, but for me there's a short freeze whenever you transition between areas (like going between wards) in 18.3. On both Game.exe and Game-z.exe.

You are correct. I made a little research regarding mine and it seems it can only goes up to OpenGL 3.1 and 3.3+ is needed to run it. Oh well, another time then. Thanxs for the comment.

i don't know if this goes here but i noticed in the normal Game.exe of 18.3 that the music inside the Onix Arcade slows down notoriously after you approach the counter. This doesn't happens with the 18.2 version.

Update.: Nevermind, it does not happen anymore, even after a few more tries.
