Can't use moves in battle

Whenever I try to use a move in battle, there is a popup that appears on my screen that looks like this:

Any idea how to fix it? tried soft resetting when it happens but no luck.

There is a pretty simple way to fix it all you have to do is delete the game and re extract the files you don't lose any progress as all of your saves are stored elsewhere so that should fix your problem
