Game wont start.

I have recently downloaded the game and have it installed, but when i try to start up the game all I get is a black screen. Please help.

maybe your download is corrupted.

Which mirror did you get it from? try downloading from this mirror, I'm not sure if Hammer-Fists (Amethyst) has updated the links yet - http://dl.scripthen.net/amethyst/9.1-PokemonReborn.zip

use 7zip to extract on Winblows, on Linux your everyday archive extract and sMac, I don´t have a clue.

I have windows 7, also tried the mirror link you gave and same thing happens, installed with no problems then try to start up game and then black screen...

Okay, what graphics processor do you have? AMD (APU) GPU, Intel or nvidia? Do you play other games (on what I assume is) your laptop?

Make sure you have .net framework 3.5 updates and .net framework 4 installed.

Also, ensure your DirectX is up-to-date, best off searching for it at http://microsoft.com/downloads/

I am not sure if Pokemon Reborn gives out any debug information, but it's worth a try...

Assuming your Pokémon Reborn is located in your "Downloads" folder...

open CMD (Winkey + R, type: cmd.exe)

once open, type:

cd Downloads

dir (Look for the Pokemon Reborn folder name)

cd Pokemon_reborn_Folder

GAME.EXE

if anything comes up on the console, paste it here.

These are good questions to ask. Unfortunately, this problem is known and occurs with specific computers but we haven't yet figured out why, or any common pattern between them.
