Gym Badge not Registering {SOLVED - Please Ignore}

So I just beat Corey, the third gym leader. Everything is saying I beat him. I saw what happened and the game is proceeding as normal, except for the fact that my game saves say I only have two badges and when my Pokemon reach level 36, they disobey me. Is there a way to fix it, or am I screwed?

I don't want to spoil anything but Corey isn't actually the 3rd gym leader, well he is but you have to get your 3rd badge from someone else. Just keep moving on. Later on this happens with another badge too. Freaked me out the first time too.

Sounds like you have to buy some common candies too. You have another big battle to do until you get the real 3rd badge. D;

I have a bunch of other pokemon I can battle with that aren't pushing the limit. But I guess I'll have to find some money too, I have less than 900. I really wanted a Crobat.
