failed to initialize direct X audio

so i'm trying to get the game running. ive downloaded the game itself and extracted all of the files with no problem. well once i open up the new folder i find the application for the game and run it as an administrator. after i do that all that happens is i get a small black window that says the following "failed to initialize direct X audio" so im not sure what im doing wrote or not doing at all. Some help would be most appreciated.

I'm going to hazard a guess and say there's something wrong with your drivers. You could try uninstalling and reinstalling said drivers, and/or check to see if your Direct X is up to date.
