ShogokiX 192
It looks like i found another minor bug in Reborn 18.2. This time it's about backup save files. I set the number of backup files to 10 in the options menu, but i noticed that i have at least about 25 to 30 backup files for each save file in my folder right now. For some reason the old backups do not get deleted any more when the number of files exceeds the amount you set it to.

Also do you have SWM mod for infinate back ups installed?

That's root of problem, right nowI've noted to Ame that it doesn't save properly it all saves after the first slot name if you go through renaming them all your other files will be mixed in there as well currently

Guess i gotta delete my old backups manually from time to time for now. But since we are at this topic right now: Do you think this problem has to do with older save files created in 18.1, or would new saves created in 18.2 be affected the same way? It doesn't seem to seperate them at all even if both the first game and the 'second' game are 18.

Game.rxdata has 35 backups now, Game_2.rxdata is at 27 backups, Game_3.rxdata is at a whopping 61 backups....

I've noticed it sometimes messes with the settings if the settings were at different settings it sometimes mixes and matches them

I'm using parts of Aironfaar's mod box, SWM modular mod pack, the mining overhaul mod and sometimes the sandbox mod. But i am not using a mod for infinite backups. But i already tried a clean version without mods, i went and copied all my saves to another location deleted everything in the save directory and created 3 new saves on a new, unmodded Reborn installation. That doesn't change anything though. I spent some time thinking about this....May i throw in a random guess? Up to Ep 18.1 Reborn only used one single save file. With Ep 18.2 Reborn started using the same multiple save file system as Rejuvenation. And it does work properly in terms of creating and using multiple saves. It also properly creates their own backups, and looking at my save folder, i can see which backups belong to which save file. However, my guess would be that the script that checks for backups was not updated properly. Maybe it is still looking for the old backups from Ep 18.1's single save format instead of the new ones. The old naming format for backups was "backup number - player name - game time - badges.rxdata", for example: In my case something like "184 - Shogoki - 16h 34m - 3 badges.rxdata" for one of my more recent files. However, the new format adds "Game", "Game_2", Game_3" and so on to the file name, according to which save file it is. In my case, the same save file backups would become "Game_5 - 184 - Shogoki - 16h 34m - 3 badges.rxdata", since that save is handled as "save slot 5" by my game. So what if the script that handles backups DOES create them with "Game", "Game_2", Game_3" and so on in their name, but DOESN'T check for backups that have "Game", Game_2", Game_3" and so on in their name? If that was the case, the script would still look for backups in the old naming format, and since there are none, it always thinks that you have not reached the maximum number of backups to keep, therefore it doesn't delete older backups. Just my random thoughts.....maybe this helps?
