Yureyu Key

So, I just finished the Mulch sidequest, talked to Seacrest in neo reborn, and got a venusaurite, and I should  have gotten the Yureyu key, aka the key to the locked room in shade's gym. However, it's not in my inventory, I cannot unlock the door, and the npc next to the gym doesn't respond. What's up? Is it bugged? Are there extra steps now? Thank you for your time.

I'm pretty sure the yuyeru key is located where the event solosis is, which would be in the cave near the beryl wall that's hidden behind a "poison" or blue/purple pillar.
