Move "Assist" doesn't do anything

Assist seems to work correctly when enemy Pokemon use it, but when my level 7 Purrloin uses it in battle, nothing happens. A short pause happens, and the enemy Pokemon simply attacks afterwards. I've used it multiple times and it has never done anything. Anyone else experiencing this bug?

Btw, I have six Pokemon in my party, so having only one Pokemon in the party is not the problem.

Quick Question did u use it in a one on one battle?

If u know already but just saying Assist is use In a Double Battle, user randomly attacks with a partner's move.

if so the move assist is one of those moves that has a do nothing ability as other moves like Twister etc. yup a bug as u said.

I've seen enemy Pokemon (owned by trainers) use Assist successfully in single battles. I don't remember whether or not it was only supposed to be usable in double battles, but either way, something isn't right.

Lol. The same things has happened to me. Assist worked fine in the previous version, it allowed you to use a random move from any pokemon in your party.

Now, it doesn't even say it failed. It just lets the other pokemon attack.

It kind of sucks since i just got rid of a previous move that didn't work either, copycat. And now this one doesn't work either, lol just my luck. Well, at least i know it's not just my computer, and other people are having the problem too...
