Story doesn't progress when using escape rope after confronting Taka

Title says most of it. After going through the Water Treatment Center and you confront Taka and have the option to battle him, if you use an escape rope to exit the water treatment center it skips the part where Shade comes and talks to you as well as the next steps of the story. Everything was just normal outside, no progression or anything. I fixed it easily enough by reloading an old save and manually exiting the building, but if the game didn't automatically create backup saves then my entire run would have been over with.

I did the same thing except I walked back into the building and tried to walk out and shade showed up. You could've done the same thing

Usually event sequence breaks can be fixed by returning to then event you missed. Simply walking in and out of WTC would have saved you some time from loading a backup.
Good catch though! Reborn's team tries very hard to avoid event sequence breaks, so nice for catching this one. It can be an easy fix by preventing you using Escape Rope in WTC
